The fourth episode of The Manny season 3 commences with Jimena's mounting anxiety over Gabriel's silence on the matter of their business partnership's conclusion. Brenda, too, senses a peculiar omission, but it's on Violett's part that she seems more concerned. She urges Jimena to delve into Violeta's true intentions.

Jimena attempts to reach Gabriel, but he's preoccupied with Emma's hospital stay, where the doctor informs them of a viral infection. In his concern, Gabriel suggests that Emma and Violeta stay at his place until the child recovers.
At school, Sofia and her friends hatch a plan for a flea market to ensure maximum attendance at the graduation party. Meanwhile, back at the office, Brenda and Mauricio advise Jimena to safeguard her interests. However, Jimena is forced to reschedule a meeting after Melissa conducts a sensational interview with Emilio, one of her former clients. In the interview, Emilio goes so far as to implicate Brenda. Jimena contemplates suing Melissa, but Mauricio informs her that they have no legal ground to do so.
On the other hand, Santi feels intimidated when Mariana invites him for a solo hangout at the barn. Meanwhile, Gabriel and Violeta spend a sleepless night caring for Emma's ailment. In the evening, Jimena calls Gabriel to check on him and inquires about the termination of their contract.
Initially, Gabriel is shocked to learn that Violeta acted without his knowledge. He promises to rectify the situation and explains everything in detail. After a sleepless night of care for Emma and Violeta, both are exhausted. The next morning, Gabriel confronts Violeta about the contract, and they engage in an argument as Violeta accuses Gabriel of gambling with their family's future. Given Emma's illness, she asks him to attend the meeting with their other business partners alone.
Elsewhere, Santi turns to his father, friends, and Gabriel for advice on their first encounter. Eager to take things further with Mariana, he is beset by insecurities. While his friends and Gabriel's suggestions prove insightful, Joaquin's tale of his own first experience traumatizes Santi. The heartbreak is compounded when he catches Mariana kissing another man in town.
At the office, Brenda uncovers some dirt on Melissa. She and Jimena decide to meet with Ruben, Melissa's former colleague. The meeting proves fruitful as Ruben shares how Melissa had stolen his story and used it to create her brand.
Meanwhile, Gabriel meets with his other business investors, who insist on canceling his contract with Jimena's company. At the office, Mauricio informs Brenda and Jimena that they can assist Ruben in suing Melissa.
In Guadalajara, Sofia, Curly, and the team move forward with their flea market project near Curly's home. Unfortunately, Dario continues to act like a spoiled brat. He spends most of the money from the sales on expensive food for the team and speaks disparagingly about the neighborhood. In the end, Curly reveals the truth about her financial background and ends things with him. After the sale, Curly and Sofia reconcile.
On the other side of town, Brenda and Jimena blackmail Melissa with Ruben's accusations, forcing her into a corner. Melissa agrees to back off, and they head back to the office to celebrate their victory. Mauricio informs them that the termination contract for Gabriel is ready. Jimena volunteers to take the documents to her man, eager to prove her loyalty and care for his best interest. Mauricio offers to accompany her to the ranch.
As the story unfolds, Gabriel finds himself in a quagmire, uncertain of his next step. Regina, ever the wise counselor, urges him to fixate on Emma and Violeta's well-being. Meanwhile, at the office, Melissa softly treads over to Brenda with some disheartening news—Jimena had subtly sabotaged Brenda's chances of receiving a better offer from another company.
After a tiresome journey, Mauricio and Jimena finally arrive at the ranch. Mauricio, with a heartfelt persuasion, convinces Jimena that the business separation with Gabriel is a justifiable resolution. He urges her to hold onto the thought that their romantic bond with Gabriel will remain intact.
Inside the cozy confines of the house, Gabriel and Violeta engage in a little family dance, celebrating Emma's recovery. Jimena, silently observing through the window, feels a sharp pang in her heart. She leaves the documents on the table outside, her heart heavy, and slips away without a word.
Mauricio is taken aback as Jimena returns, tears streaming down her face, insisting on leaving immediately.
