The Night Agent – Season 3 Episode 10 1

Now, in the present, Peter tries to reach out to the night action helpline, but he is told his code no longer works. It's clear that the President has booted him off the programme.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is playing it cool, laughing at some mildly funny story Adam is telling. However, he quickly realizes she's onto him, and that's when the real deal goes down. A fight ensues, and they get into an accident. Chelsea manages to get away and hides in what looks like a barn. Adam follows her, but Peter arrives before he kills her. He convinces Adam to reconsider his loyalties and question Hagan on why he was given the orders to kill Monroe and Chelsea. Half-convinced, Adam lets them go.

Isabel and Jay explain their findings to their boss and the company's lawyers. Given the high-profile nature of the story, the bosses suggest vetting the evidence first. That would take weeks, and time is something Isabel can't afford. Even with Chelsea and Jay coming forward as witnesses, it's still not enough.

She calls Peter and informs him that her bosses have refused to publish the story immediately. He tells her that they are running out of time, and Adam has already tried to kill Chelsea. The President is taking out liabilities to hide his crimes. Peter suggests reaching out to Freya and having her confirm the information via a livestream. Isabel's bosses agree to this.

At the White House, a dramatic scene unfolds as Theo, waiting for Renee to leave, sneaks into her office. He dials the journalist she had reached out to and requests them to delay publishing the article. Unfortunately, Renee catches him red-handed, forcing him to quit on the spot.

Meanwhile, Adam, after attempting to kill Chelsea, reaches out to Hagan to hear his side of the story. Hagan spins a web of lies, claiming that Peter is delusional and sees his father's betrayal in everyone. He reminds Adam of their journey and the importance of national security. Finally, he reveals that he has reached out to other members from their old military unit for help. It turns out that some of these agents were part of Hagan's Night Action programme.

As for Freya, her situation takes a turn when Isabel visits her at her place. Freya asks the doorman to keep Isabel waiting for five minutes, giving her time to reach out to The Father and order him to come to her apartment and kill Isabel. However, The Father refuses the job, revealing that he is done with that line of work and has already returned the money Freya paid him. Freya then threatens to send other assassins after him and everyone he cares about.

The tension escalates as two assassins arrive. Freya prioritizes herself and locks Isabel out of the second exit elevator. Thankfully, the assassins leave to chase after Freya, missing Isabel who is hiding in the room. Freya calls Peter and Chelsea, informing them that they are being chased. Peter asks her to stay put until they arrive. While leaving the building, Isabel is caught by one of the armed men. Chelsea rescues her while Peter chases after Freya, who has headed towards Grand Central.

Peter catches up with Freya and convinces her to do the right thing. However, Adam and the other assassins are still after them. An intense confrontation happens between Peter and one of the assassins as they are about to reach Isabel's office. Adam appears and shoots Peter in the leg. Peter implores Adam's sense of duty, convincing him to let them go. Finally, Adam realizes that Hagan is playing him and drops his gun, allowing them to leave.

Once they reach Isabel's building, they prepare Freya for an impromptu live interview where she tells the world about the Hagan family's crimes and hints that she is ready to make a deal with Congress to spill more secrets. Renee shows the First Couple the interview, and they realize that their cover is blown.

The season finale of The Night Agent, Season 3, unfolds with a five-week time jump subsequent to Freya's interview. Isabel continues her quest to uncover more secrets, while Jay shares an interview about the sudden turn his life has taken. Chelsea and Theo's wedding planning is in full swing. Hagan and his wife bid their farewells to the office before his departure. In a tragic turn of events, the Father seeks revenge against Freya for her threat to come after him, resulting in her demise.

Peter reconnects with Isabel, who reveals her intention to move to Barcelona. He extends his congratulations on her recent articles and thanks her for keeping his deal with Monroe a secret. She encourages him to find a healthy balance in his life. Later, Peter requests additional time off from Mosley, signaling his readiness to find that balance. Mosley grants his request and informs him that he will be paired with a new partner once he is ready. It appears that the Night Action team is being disbanded due to Hagan's missteps with the program.

The episode concludes with Peter discovering the ice cream flavor he's been searching for—a reminder of the last day he spent with his mother at the beach before her illness. The scene paints a poignant picture of Peter's journey towards personal growth and closure.
