In Episode 15 of The Pitt season 2, the episode commences with Robby's shock at Baran's symptoms. After her viral meningitis, Baran's seizures have begun, causing her to try every medication available. Although she was cleared by neurology to work and drive, her condition has worsened, with two seizures occurring on the same day, causing considerable concern. Robby urges Baran to disclose this to the board, and she reveals that she has a plan in place for this eventuality. Robby's worry is palpable, and he instructs Dana to keep a close eye on Baran in case she is "tired."

Meanwhile, Javadi is torn with indecision. While Langdon undergoes a drug test, Abbott speaks with Robby outside his bike, expressing his concern for him and bringing up what Dana has said. Robby deflects the conversation, focusing instead on Abbott's own risky lifestyle choices.
Back in the ER, Javadi and Santos struggle to stay awake while charting, while Whitaker continues his search for his badge, which has been snatched by the homeless man, Digby. Whitaker speaks with Javadi about her future, and she considers dropping out of the ER altogether and pursuing a career in law school. However, she ultimately decides to stay and pursue emergency psychiatry instead.
Robby takes Javadi aside later to discuss her social media posts, praising them and encouraging her to keep it up as long as she is done with charting. Before parting ways, Robby gives Javadi the green light to pursue psychiatry if that is what she desires.
In a separate but equally intense scenario, a pregnant woman named Judith is brought into the hospital with preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and eclampsia. She had wanted a wild pregnancy free of medical care, and only sought medical attention due to severe headaches. The doctors realize the situation is serious and discuss inducing labour to save both Judith and the baby's life. However, Judith refuses. When she starts seizing, they have no choice but to act quickly to save her and the baby's life.
The senior doctors work together to deliver the baby and try to save its life. The baby is blue and struggling, but the placenta is intact. Thankfully, the baby starts crying and recovers, while Judith also survives. Robby is relieved when he steps outside the room and sees off Duke, who promises to return for all his medical tests as long as Robby rides back into work. Robby agrees to consider it and shakes hands with Duke before parting ways.
In the bustling ambulance bay, Langdon approaches Mel, who is still grappling with Becca's decision to not join her in watching the fireworks. Their conversation is filled with warmth and empathy, leading to a deeper connection between the two. However, fate has other plans, and Mel is summoned back to the board for further questioning.
As she returns to the ER, Mel's emotions start to spiral out of control. To her surprise, Santos offers a unique solution - a night out drinking and karaoke. Meanwhile, Baran's situation takes a turn for the worse when she clashes with Robby in one of the wards. Robby gives her an ultimatum: reach out to the administration by Monday or face consequences. When Baran finally leaves the hospital, she struggles to hold back tears as she drives away.
Abbott overhears Robby's distress and offers words of encouragement. He knows that this trip isn't the solution and urges Robby to face his demons head-on. He encourages him to "dance through the darkness" and find his way back in one piece. While many of the doctors are enjoying the fireworks on the rooftop, Robby and Langdon have a heated exchange downstairs. Langdon, with his vast experience in rehab, sees parallels between Robby and many others he's encountered. He urges Robby to seek help and be honest with himself.
The season concludes with a poignant moment where Robby plays music and feeds the baby Jane Doe. Before giving her the bottle, he confides in her that he was abandoned at the age of 8. In the post-credit sequence, Santos and Mel embark on their karaoke adventure, leaving viewers with a sense of hope and renewal.
