The Serpent – Season 1 Episode 7 1

In Paris, Charles receives harsh words from his mother, who scolds Marie for bringing another woman into his life. Despite this, Marie and Charles attend their gemstone meetings, where all seems to be proceeding smoothly... until Monique and Alain's names are mentioned. News from the Bangkok Post has traveled far and wide, crossing oceans to reach them. Charles dismisses the allegations, narrowly avoiding the bullet as the deal progresses. Encouraged, the pair decides to take the incriminating file with them, a document that holds the key to the entire story.

Marie eventually returns to Charles' mother, who speaks of his half-brother, Guy. Charles had asked Guy to swap identities, a decision that led to Guy's imprisonment and torture.

Behind the curtain of this narrative, she warns Marie with urgency, unveiling the truth that Charles' heart will forever remain unattainable. As she continues, she confesses that Juliette still breathes, lingering in the shadows. Marie, shaken by the revelations, departs with a troubled heart and then, turning to a magazine, stares at the front cover where her face graces alongside Charles', a snapshot from their encounter in the bar, long ago.

Unexpectedly, Charles appears at Juliette's door, and without hesitation, enters her sanctuary. He sits her down and declares her as his destined future. However, Juliette recoils from him, her voice firm as she commands him to leave. It is here that the threads of deceit begin to unravel, scattering chaos.

Marie confronts Charles, her voice laced with accusation, as more bodies are discovered and Charles' mother joins the police in their pursuit. Adding fuel to the fire, an International Arrest Warrant is issued for both Charles and Marie. With the realization of her predicament dawning on her, Marie realizes it's too late; she is once again on the run, her fate hanging in the balance.
