In the thrilling continuation of To My Beloved Thief, Eun-jo finds herself in a whirlwind of emotions after her impulsive kiss with Prince Yi-Yeol. Realizing the need to explain herself, she sets out to confront him, only to miss each other in the chaos of their respective endeavors.

As the curfew nears, Eun-jo donns her Baekjong disguise and targets the Chief Censor's residence for a daring robbery. This time, she steals a few bowls of rice and seaweed, leaving behind another enigmatic drawing. The next morning, overhearing the Chief Censor's slaves discussing Gil-dong, she learns that her trail may be getting hot. Later that night, she narrowly escapes Yoon-bok's grasp, thanks to her trusty curfew pass.
Meanwhile, Prince Yi-yeol is consumed by thoughts of Eun-jo and her mysterious motives. He summons all court ladies the following morning, hoping to uncover the truth behind her actions. In parallel, the ministers gather to report to the King about Gil-dong's activities, with Geum-nok warning them of potential exposure.
The King expresses discomfort with the constant praise and longs for the honesty of Min-jik, who dared to speak truthfully during a previous meeting. Secretary Im steps in to distract the King with a flashback of Min-jik's bold stance. Later, Secretary Im meets with Min-jik at a courtesan house to discuss Eun-jo's upcoming marriage to his son. Min-jik thanks him for the arrangement and promises to return the wedding gifts, unaware of Secretary Im's true intentions for Eun-jo.
Back at the house, Eun-jo confides in her mother about her inner turmoil, using a book plot as a cover. Her mother initially interprets the kiss as love but later labels the protagonist of the story as promiscuous upon hearing that she's engaged to another.
The episode leaves us with a web of intrigue and anticipation as each character navigates their complex emotions and motivations. Will Eun-jo be able to clear her name? Will Min-jik ever uncover Secretary Im's true agenda? And what will become of Eun-jo's relationship with Prince Yi-yeol? The next episode promises to unravel these mysteries and more.
At the palace, Prince Yi-yeol sought counsel from the court ladies and eunuchs, who unanimously agreed that the kiss was a product of love, and the woman's fleeing was due to the belief that their relationship was forbidden. Prince Yi-yeol conceded that they might be right, considering Eun-jo had perceived him as a mad slave. Later, he confessed to Dae-chu, and his bodyguard, unaware of the situation, teased him again.
At the market, Hae-rim unexpectedly encountered No-eul. Instead of attacking her, Hae-rim agreed to support her relationship with Jae-i. This sudden shift caught No-eul off guard, and she angrily warned Jae-i that she was done with his bullying of Hae-rim.
Jae-i realized that he needed to change his tactics to avoid his marriage. He continued practicing archery with Dae-ll and Seung-baek. Dae-Il dared Seung-baek by claiming that Eun-jo could beat him in archery. To prove his point, he fetched Eun-jo and asked her to play in his honor. Eun-jo agreed on the condition that Dae-II cut off his friends and focus on his civil exam. The condition annoyed Jae-i, who decided to teach her a lesson. He asked her to shoot an apple placed on Dae-II’s head. Eun-jo confronted him for punishing her brother, but he clarified that he was punishing her by making her shoot her own brother. She hit another target, impressing everyone.
Meanwhile, Prince Yi-yeol sent Dae-chu to the market with a portrait of Eun-jo. He headed to the police bureau to continue investigating Gil-dong. Another officer reported that Eun-jo might have seen Gil-dong the previous night during the night search. Prince Yi-yeol and Yoon-book decided to visit the Hyeminseo to interrogate Eun-jo.
Meanwhile, Eun-jo notices a wanted poster for Gil-dong at the market and decides it's best to keep a low profile for a while. Back at the police bureau, the Queen Dowager makes a surprise visit and threatens Yoon-bok for indulging Prince Yi-yeol's hobbies. She feels disappointed when Prince Yi-yeol asks her to stop having expectations of him.
Yoon-bok and Prince Yi-yeol make their way to the Hyeminseo. While there, they bump into Hae-rim, who calls the Prince a dullard after seeing a wanted poster of him at the market. Thankfully, the Prince doesn't take any offense and even saves her from tripping. Unfortunately, they are unable to see Eun-jo since it's her day off.
While they are there, another officer reports that the Chief Censor has taken the widow for questioning. Prince Yi-yeol realizes that Gil-dong took the stolen rice and seaweed to the nursing widow. He orders the officers to fetch the widow and bring her in for another round of interrogation.
At the Chief Censor's house, he publicly embarrasses the widow and takes away all her belongings as punishment. Eun-jo tries to plead for mercy on behalf of the widow, but the Chief Censor sends her away. Shortly after, the widow is brought to the police bureau. She confesses that Gil-dong gave her the rice and clarifies that she doesn't know who he is. She only knows that Gil-dong showed up every time she was hungry with nothing to eat. It turns out Gil-dong has been doing this for a while and leaves a note asking the people to keep the food a secret. The widow was so grateful she forgot the request.
Thanks to the widow's story, Prince Yi-yeol figures out that Gil-dong will strike again at the Chief Censor's house. He waits on the roof in the surrounding areas. Unbeknownst to Eun-jo, she puts on her Gil-dong outfit and makes her way to the Chief Censor's house. She is shocked to see Prince Yi-yeol, the man she kissed on the roof.
Prince Yi-yeol is still under the assumption that Gil-dong is a man. He promises not to chase after him as long as he stays within manageable confines. He can't fault Gil-dong for helping the people, but he doesn't want him to take it too far or interfere with the country's politics. That way, he can protect Gil-dong in his own way. However, Eun-jo keeps wondering what he means as he keeps taking in parables.
Unfortunately, two officers spot Gil-dong on the roof and sound the alarm. Eun-jo assumes that Prince Yi-yeol was only buying time and runs away. Prince Yi-yeol gets hurt as he tries to stop the officers from going after Gil-dong. He manages to call off the pursuit and gets the officers to stand down.
Meanwhile, Eun-jo returns to the Hyeminseo and wears her physician uniform. The Prince follows Gil-dong and loses him near the hyeminseo. Seeing as he is hurt, he enters the compound to seek treatment. He runs into Eun-jo and recognizes her as the woman who stole his first kiss. She is the same woman who had previously mistaken him for a mad slave in the market.
