Kyeong-do advises Ji-woo that they must devise a more effective plan to approach Bella. The couple waits outside Bella's apartment for her departure. Later in the evening, Bella goes out for a drink and invites the couple to join her. During their conversation, Bella inquires about Ji-woo and Kyeong-do's relationship. Ji-woo reveals that they are not in a labeled relationship as of now. The designer persists in discussing their personal matters, dismissing Ji-woo's attempts to discuss business.

When asked if he has ever loved someone other than Ji-woo, Kyeong-do confesses that he has fallen in love with Ji-woo twice—once when she was 20 and again now that she is 28. Bella compares working for Pirco to Kyeong-do's love for Ji-woo.

That night, Kyeong-do struggles to carry the drunk Bella Jin up the stairs to her accommodation. Later, Ji-woo expresses her disappointment over her inability to convince Bella but shares her excitement about working at the business. Kyeong-do teases Ji-woo and playfully requests her to carry him back to their Airbnb.

Meanwhile, in Korea, Min-woo discusses Ji-yeon's illness and Ji-woo's efforts to shut down her late father's legacy, Manzaar, with ED Choi. ED Choi expresses support for Ji-woo's intentions behind launching a luxury brand under Jarim and praises her efforts. Min-woo is dismayed to see the executive director supporting Ji-woo.

The following morning, Ji-woo and Kyeong-do meet with Bella for breakfast. Bella informs them that she spoke with a fellow designer, Lucas, about Jarim's new brand and urges Ji-woo to reach out to him. Excited about the successful trip, the duo goes in search of snacks to bring back home.

Upon returning to Korea, Ji-woo not only treats Kyeong-do's parents to a delightful dessert but also pays a visit to the local laundromat. There, she witnesses a tense confrontation between a woman and Nam-sook, who is being accused of ruining her dress. Nam-sook and Han-soo try to ease the situation, insisting that they had cleaned the dress at the woman's request. However, the woman remains unyielding and continues to blame them.

Stepping in to help, Ji-woo points out that the dress is old and worn out. She then offers to let the woman choose any item from a Jarim store for free in exchange for the dress. The woman accepts the offer and leaves after paying for the dry cleaning. Nam-sook and Han-soo are deeply touched by Ji-woo's generous gesture and invite her to join them in sharing their dessert.

As they converse, Ji-woo shares about her trip and her new job at Jarim. She then receives a call from Lucas, who accepts her offer. Nam-sook and Han-soo discuss their son's partner as Ji-woo celebrates by hugging them. She calls Kyeong-do to share the good news with him.

Meanwhile, CEO Bae Jun-soo threatens to sue Min-woo and insists on contacting Ji-yeon if Min-woo doesn't speed up the process of selling Jarim, as previously discussed. That night, Ji-woo and Kyeong-do celebrate with a non-alcoholic drink, marking a significant milestone in their relationship.

The next morning, Ji-yeon runs into CEO Bae Jun-soo during her morning routine and they discuss Min-woo's situation. Jun-soo tells Ji-yeon that Min-woo is scared of being exposed, while Ji-yeon insists that Jarim will never be sold. She suggests that Jun-soo invest in Ji-woo's new luxury brand instead.

Meanwhile, Woo-sik is offered a replacement role in the final shows of "Waiting for Godot." He accepts the offer and informs Se-yeoung and Jeong-min of his decision. At the same time, Min-woo and Jin-eon discuss Ji-woo's paternity and Min-woo seeks ways to conduct a DNA test despite Chairman Baek being deceased for years.

Elsewhere, Kyeong-do convinces his colleagues to help him create origami roses. He plans to give them to Ji-woo along with the pocket watch she left behind years ago. Han-kyung expresses his frustration at Kyeong-do for involving his colleagues, but Kyeong-do insists that he only asked during lunch. That night, Kyeong-do hides the pocket watch inside the jar of origami roses.

The group gathers to watch Woo-sik's performance, and Ji-woo teases Kyeong-do about crying on stage when she left him before the play in 2007. Kyeong-do reveals that he watches the play whenever he misses her, adding another layer of depth to their emotional connection.

Flashbacks reveal his annual return, as he recalls asking Han-kyung for the opportunity to interview the director for an article. Kyeong-do's friends urge him to move on now that the play has come to an end. Ji-woo, on the other hand, reminisces about attending the play every year, hoping to cross paths with him. In the present, they watch the play together, holding hands. On their way back, they ponder how they never encountered each other despite attending the play annually. Kyeong-do presents Ji-woo with a pocket watch, thanking her for preserving their memory. He begs her to stay with him and not break his heart again. Ji-woo embraces him and promises to remain by his side.

The following day, Secretary Yoo prepares tea for Ji-yeon and increases the dosage as instructed by Min-woo. Min-woo forces Ji-yeon to drink it, but she tries to evade it, dropping the cup while answering a call. Meanwhile, Kyeong-do watches CCTV footage of Secretary Yoo's actions and discovers she lied on her resume. He later meets Ji-yeon's informant, Oh Gun, and requests more information.

In her office, Ji-yeon suddenly loses her memory and claims she's late for her English class. She exits the cabin barefoot while Min-woo directs her to the lobby. Ji-yeon trips and causes a commotion. Kyeong-do, who was waiting there, tries to assist her but is pushed away. Ji-woo arrives and helps her sister.

The episode concludes with flashbacks of Ji-woo attending screenings of "Waiting for Godot," searching for Kyeong-do, who is seated elsewhere. Numerous instances show how they narrowly miss each other every time they attend the play.
