Episode 7 of *To The Moon* opens with a dream sequence. This time, it’s Ji-song who finds herself in a surreal vision, envisioning herself as the crypto train hurtling towards the moon—only to plunge violently downward in a catastrophic crash. She jolts awake with a gasp, her heart pounding, and we soon discover she’s been staying with Eun-sang, her refuge amidst financial turmoil. As she lies there, she notices Eun-sang, her roommate, weeping silently in her sleep, tears streaking down her cheeks.

When morning arrives, Eun-sang grumbles about Ji-song’s untidiness, prompting the latter to vow improvement with a sheepish grin. Meanwhile, Ji-song frets over the plummeting value of Enderium, but her companions—both seasoned crypto enthusiasts—reassure her that such dips are golden opportunities to buy low. Yet, reality bites: strapped for cash, the trio resorts to taking on part-time gigs, scrubbing floors and waiting tables to make ends meet.
Meanwhile, the romantic subplot between Da-hae and Ji-woo continues to blossom. The couple heads out for a movie date, though Da-hae, exhausted from her side hustles, ends up dozing off midway through the film, her head lolling against Ji-woo’s shoulder. A flashback then transports us to the cliffhanger of Episode 6, where Da-hae’s colleagues spot her and Ji-woo in an elevator together. To deflect suspicion, she improvises a theatrical scene, pretending her hair is hopelessly tangled in Ji-woo’s button. Back in the present, Ji-woo expresses his desire to go public with their relationship, but Da-hae, visibly uneasy, isn’t ready to broadcast their romance to the entire company.
The narrative then shifts to a tense office meeting uniting all three departments. When Da-hae is called upon to present, disaster strikes: her cryptocurrency trading screen flashes onto the projector instead, exposing her secret hobby to the entire room. Her manager, Ko Dae-young, seizes the moment to lecture her about the dangers of speculative investing, his disapproval palpable.
Later, the trio reconvenes at a Japanese restaurant where they’ve taken up part-time work. Chaos ensues when Ko Dae-young unexpectedly walks in. Desperate to conceal their side jobs, they pile on layers of exaggerated makeup, transforming into unrecognizable caricatures of themselves. Tensions flare when Da-hae overhears Ko Dae-young griping about her crypto obsession, his words stinging like salt in a wound.
However, chaos strikes when he begins to choke on a morsel of food, but she springs into action, saving him with the Heimlich maneuver. As the night winds down, he leaves her a generous tip. Yet, Da-hae is determined to return the envelope of cash, refusing to accept money from someone she perceives in a certain light. Upon returning home, Eun-sang and Ji-song are greeted by a staggering electricity bill. Furious at the extravagance, Eun-sang demands that Ji-song start contributing for his stay at her place.
The next day at work, Da-hae discovers that returning the money is no easy feat. In her clumsy attempts, she even inadvertently brushes against Manager Ko’s backside while trying to slip the cash into his pocket. Meanwhile, a colleague, mistakenly assuming Eun-sang has a daughter, gifts her a fancy toy his own child has outgrown. In the accounts department, Ji-song is taken aback upon noticing Oh Dong-gyu’s new nose filler, along with fresh contact lenses and a stylish new hair parting.
That evening, Eun-sang lists the toy for sale online, hoping to turn a profit. She also starts charging Ji-song for amenities like Wi-Fi. Later that night, Ji-song witnesses Eun-sang in tears once again.
The following day at work, Da-hae learns that Manager Ko has filed a complaint against her, insinuating that she harbors feelings for him. He even shares this tidbit with the team. Da-hae confronts him privately, unraveling the entire saga about the cash and her side job at the restaurant. She also drops a bombshell, revealing her knowledge of Manager Ko selling company secrets to the man he had dined with, effectively silencing him. Concluding the conversation, she expresses her former respect for him and laments how he’s dragged her down over the years.
Naturally, Da-hae is in a foul mood on her way home. Her frustration is compounded by Ji-woo’s silence, as he’s away on a work trip to Saudi Arabia and hasn’t been responding to her messages. But her mood lifts when she finds him waiting outside her house! They take a stroll, and she proudly shows Ji-woo the memos she’s kept of all the things she wanted to share with him upon his return. Their date culminates in a tender kiss.
Meanwhile, Ji-song is juggling a part-time job as a restaurant mascot, distributing flyers on the street. She stumbles upon a drunk Dong-gyu, who launches into a self-pitying rant, calling himself unattractive. Ji-song reveals herself, stepping out of the costume, and sits with him for a while. She apologizes for hurting his feelings and explains that she simply has a very particular type.
Suddenly, a realization hits Ji-song like a bolt out of the blue - it's incredibly late. With a burst of urgency, she sprints home, her heart pounding in her chest. Not stopping to catch her breath, she even dials Da-hae's number. Before long, the two of them arrive at Eun-sang's apartment in a flurry.
Once inside, Ji-song can't hold back any longer. With a mix of concern and a touch of drama, she unveils the secret she'd overheard: Eun-sang had been crying out Ji-sang's name in her sleep. The revelation tugs at Eun-sang's heartstrings, and she's visibly moved, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.
In a gesture of heartfelt sincerity, Eun-sang then reaches into her pocket and pulls out the money she'd taken from Ji-song for rent. With a gentle smile, she explains that she never had any intention of keeping it. Her sole purpose had been to prevent Ji-song from squandering it on frivolous purchases.
After this emotional exchange, the trio decides to seize the moment and invest a bit more in cryptocurrency, their eyes shining with a shared sense of adventure.
Meanwhile, Eun-sang finds herself engaged in a playful banter with a potential buyer who's shown interest in a toy she's selling. With each witty remark and teasing jab, she keeps the buyer on the edge, until finally, she relents and agrees to the sale.
When they finally meet face-to-face, the buyer's identity is revealed in a dramatic twist - it's none other than Eun-sang's ex-husband. The air is immediately charged with tension as they lock eyes, and the episode reaches its climax with both of them hurling accusations at each other, each labeling the other a cheapskate.
