The third episode of To Your Eternity Season 3 unfurls with Hanna's friends from her club scouring the area after her untimely fall. With hearts full of concern, they decide to split up in their search for Mizuha. Meanwhile, Aoki ventures off on his own, only to stumble and suffer a cut that sends a wave of pain through his body. This unexpected jolt allows Fushi, the immortal being, to sense his distress and teleports to his side, understanding the gravity of the situation at once.

As Hanna stumbles upon Mizuha's mother, she finds the woman occupied with clicking random photos rather than actively searching for her daughter. Concurrently, Aoki arrives with his grandfather in tow, offering a ride to the girl. Fushi, ever the savior, locates Mizuha where she's hobbling about with her leg injury at her grandfather's abode. Transforming into Pocoa, he pretends to be Aoki's cousin assisting in the search, only to discover that she's not lost at all but rather enjoying her grandfather's company and a book he had shown her.
When Fushi explains the fretful state of affairs to Mizuha, she bids adieu to her grandfather with gratitude in her heart. Her mother, confused by her daughter's actions, questions their strained relationship and inquires about Mizuha's presence at her father's house. The mother also shocks her friends by revealing that they are moving, prompting Hanna to rush over and embrace Mizuha. Realizing Mizuha's reluctance to leave and her hidden thoughts from her mother, Hanna assures her of acceptance and encourages her to stay.
The next day, Hanna, adorned with a feather hair clip crafted by Mizuha herself, enlists her friend to confront her mother. At nightfall, the girl gathers the courage to do so.
As Mizuha soaked in the bathtub, she tried to share her heartfelt desire to stay put with her mother, who stood outside the door. To her surprise, her mother expressed her sadness at not comprehending her feelings. In a moment of clarity, Mizuha decided that they would remain in their home, leaving behind the notion of relocation.
In a tender gesture, her mother presented her with a new hair clip, explaining that it had been hers when she was younger and had always been meant for her daughter. This small act of affectionate inheritance signified a shift in Mizuha's routine; instead of attending random classes or club activities, she now spent time with Hanna, strolling through malls, eating, and imbibing together.
However, amidst Hanna's remarks about the serene nature of their life, Mizuha couldn't help but start crying inexplicably. Upon returning home, she barely spoke to her mother and secluded herself in her room.
Ever since childhood, Mizuha had been hailed as beautiful and perfect. Her prowess in learning anything swiftly had seen her excel in school and in all new endeavors she embraced. This had instilled in her the belief that she was flawless. But as she entered high school, everything changed. She struggled to find the perfect friend who didn't look down upon her or someone who wasn't at her level.
Mizuha, too, had not been blessed with the ideal mother figure. While she was not deterred by the need to learn new things, she was keenly aware that her mother viewed her solely as a trophy. Mizuha also looked at her mother as a harbinger of her own impending age, understanding that one day she would lose the beauty of youth and not be perfect anymore.
Her purpose in life took shape when she visited her grandfather. He spoke of the Guardian Force, and with it, she learned about her ancestors, Hayase and Fushi. Though it was but a legend, she recognized Fushi from a picture in a book detailing her lineage. The moment Fushi appeared at the house, as Pocoa, everything became clear to her. There was no way a girl could have slipped in through the window, so the only explanation was that the legend was real.
For the first time, she had a goal that surpassed all else and led her towards true perfection: Mizuha wanted Fushi. After that, she began to see her imperfect friends and mother in a different light—not as such a bad thing. However, when she went shopping with Hanna, she stumbled upon the same hair clip her mother had given her in one of the stores. This realization that her mother's story was a lie hit her hard.
As she walked back home, Mizuha felt as though she had blacked out and awoken within her own abode. Back in the present, she saw a knife and blood in her hands. She rushed to the living room, crying and screaming for her mother, only to find her dead on the floor. Mizuha couldn't believe her eyes and didn't know what to do; she simply ran away.
Suddenly, a group of girls spotted her, and she hid behind a bush before they recognized her. Then, Fushi appeared, questioning why she hadn't asked for her friends' help before things had gone so far. He wanted to know if he could do anything for her. With a wide smile on her face, ignoring what had just transpired, she said she wanted him to be her friend.
