The fourth episode of To Your Eternity Season 3 commences with Fushi experiencing a severe ache, prompting him to discover Mizuha's mother slumped on the floor. As he transforms into his wolf form, he discovers that the knife used to inflict the fatal wound bears Mizuha's scent, leading him to teleportically hurl towards the girl. Unfamiliar with the modern world's protocols in such a scenario, Fushi accepts Mizuha's request to be her friend. The girl refrains from calling her father, knowing the repercussions that would ensue. Consequently, Fushi is tasked with finding a place for her to stay the night.

Mizuha leads him to a shrine, where she changes her clothes and cleanses her body of blood. However, the immortal remains perplexed as to why she committed the act. Yet, she continuously interrupts him with food requests and inquiries, leaving him unable to inquire further.
Eventually, when she becomes quieter, Fushi attempts to delve into her reasons. Mizuha then shares with him about the hair accessory that caused her to lose faith in her mother.
After their conversation, they retire to sleep, with Fushi imparting a few stories about Hayase to the girl. Yet, he only speaks of her positive traits, omitting the conflicts he had with her.
The next morning, Fushi prepares breakfast for her and informs her that he might be able to revive her mother. To his surprise, Mizuha doesn't want him to do that now. Instead, she urges him to wait and procure other essentials she needs, such as shampoo and more clothes.
In the end, Fushi agrees and returns to Aoki's house at a fortuitous moment when Aoki is lending her savings, with great anguish, to some of the guests so they can go shopping. While he tries to purchase the girl's clothes alongside the others, Mizuha calls her father to apologize. However, he behaves very peculiarly and tells her that he and her mother are worried.
Mizuha's mind reeled with disbelief, her steps echoing through the empty streets as she made her way home. Upon arrival, a sight greeted her eyes that defied all logic—her mother, alive and well. The woman, apologetic and contrite, confessed to stealing the hair tie Hanna had bestowed upon Mizuha. Her parents, blissfully unaware of the truth, believed she had merely run away from home once again. Even when Mizuha uttered the unthinkable, of ending her mother's life, they dismissed it as a nightmare.
The scene shifts to a park, where a boy, previously unseen, stands alone. A call summons him, and he departs, but a strange look dances in his eyes. The next day, Fushi reunites with Mizuha, and her revelation about her mother leaves him as stunned as she is. He assures her vehemently that he had nothing to do with it. With her mother restored to health, Mizuha prepares to return to her home and school life, yet her desire to continue meeting Fushi at the shrine each day remains undiminished.
Fushi's return home is met with a surprise—everyone is dressed in new attire. He compliments their transformed looks, amused by Tonari's ensemble, which he deems ill-suited for her. Over dinner, March inquires about Kahaku's whereabouts, but Fushi is in the dark, and no one else sheds light on his whereabouts. Yet, Fushi clings to the hope that Kahaku finds happiness wherever he may be.
In the guise of a bird, Fushi pays a visit to Mizuha's home to confirm her mother's vitality. The woman shares that she has abandoned photography and embarks on a new chapter of self-discovery. They meet again in the afternoon, Fushi presenting Mizuha with the clothes he purchased for her. Their conversation meanders through the events surrounding Mizuha's mother, and Fushi extends an invitation for her to meet his friends at his abode.
As Mizuha steps into Fushi's world, it becomes immediately apparent to all that she bears the bloodline of Hayase. Tonari seems particularly perturbed, though her concern is voiced only to Fushi.
With a sudden flourish, Bon materializes, bestowing upon them all green cards, signifying their aspiration for a normal life in the present—one that entails attending school and pursuing employment. As he declares that Fushi should enroll in high school, Mizuha and Aoki's expressions of joy are palpable, their eyes lighting up with anticipation. However, Bon lowers his voice and shares a secret whisper with Fushi—he will be studying alongside the girl, a wish echoed by a spirit he has been conversing with.
As Bon turns to glance over his shoulder, he catches a glimpse of Mizuha's mother's spirit, her gaze fixed on him with an intensity that chills the air. The episode culminates in a dramatic revelation, as it is unveiled that the woman is, in fact, no longer among the living. The scene concludes with a lingering sense of unease and mystery, leaving the audience eager for more.
