Tremembé – Season 1 Episode 1 1

Fearful for her safety, Suzane consults with her lawyer, Valdo, about transferring to Tremembe. Valdo asserts that no vacancies exist, so Suzane turns to the prosecutor, Edgar, who harbors a liking for her. When Suzane promises to do anything to secure the transfer, Edgar pulls some strings and arranges for her to drop by his office during the transfer. He sets the mood with some music and invites her for a drink. But Suzane has other plans. She excuses herself to the restroom, making a beeline for the internal affairs office to report Edgar for harassment. The news quickly spreads, and Edgar is suspended for 22 days, paving the way for Suzane's transfer to Tremembe.

Tremembe houses some of the most notorious criminals from both male and female prisons. Upon arriving at the penitentiary, Poliana shows Suzane to their rooms as she introduces the inmates. Sandrao, the leader in the women's prison, was once a kidnapper, torturer, and murderer of her neighbor's son. Sandrao is currently dating Elize, an inmate who killed, dismembered, and hid her husband's corpse. Cassia is part of Sandrao's crew, and they all seem to harbor a deep-seated hatred for Anna, who is convicted of strangling her stepdaughter along with her husband.

In the male prison section, we find Daniel, Suzane's ex-boyfriend, and his brother, Cristian. They both played a part in Suzane's heinous crime and were sentenced to 39 and 38 years respectively. Learning that Suzane is headed to Tremembe, Daniel seethes with anger and decides to pen a letter to her. And in the same prison section is Alexandre, Anna's husband, who threw his 5-year-old daughter off the sixth floor. Their lawyer asserts that they could be released if they pass a test demonstrating genuine regret and remorse.

Suzane's initial welcome in the prison was far from the glamorous image she had in mind. The inmates quickly made their presence known, with her mattress becoming a casualty of their mischief. Later that night, Suzane discovered it was missing, leaving her with no choice but to sleep on the cold, hard concrete floor on her first day. Poliana advised her that protection was necessary, and the only person who could provide it was Sandrao.

The next morning, Suzane set out on a quest to find Sandrao. Meanwhile, Anna was also facing bullying, but when she tried to seek protection from Sandrao, she was turned down, with Sandrao stating that they didn't protect child murderers.

In the men's prison, a new inmate arrived: Luka, a gay man who had been admitted due to his father's connections. Unable to find a locker room, Luka was approached by Earthquake, who offered to help him if he agreed to oral sex. Luka relented, but when he arrived at the cell room to take his locker, Earthquake's boyfriend, Gal, stepped in and demanded payment. Left stranded, Luka took his supplies and sat in the main hall until Cristian came to his rescue, sparking a new relationship between them.

In the women's prison, Suzane made her move on Sandrao. She noticed that the prison guard, Paulina, had stopped Sandrao and Elize from being intimate in the cafeteria. Taking advantage of a break, Suzane reported them to Paulina when she saw them making out.

Paulina intervened to stop them, but Sandrao ended up punching her to assert her dominance. The other prison guards soon arrived, and Sandrao was taken to the cage for punishment.

At the male prison, a momentous occasion unfolded as Mariano successfully navigated his college entrance exams, prompting the inmates to plan a celebration for him that night. Meanwhile, Suzane received Daniel's letter, causing him to fret over her potential reaction, while Suzane brushed it off with a simple declaration that Daniel meant nothing to her. During their tailoring class, Suzane excelled, impressing even Cassie. As she left, Suzane noticed the technician maintaining the sewing machines, revealing Sandrao's identity. Anna took a sneaky call to her children after her lawyer's video call, only to be caught by Paulina, who punished her by confining her alongside Sandrao in the cage.

That night, the male prisoners threw a party for Mariano, getting thoroughly drunk on Gal's homemade brew. Cristian took this opportunity to bond with Luka, helping him assimilate and become more integrated among the other inmates. Meanwhile, Suzane coaxed Paulina into allowing her to speak with Sandrao, lying that she was going to apologize. However, Suzane only tormented Sandrao by implying that she thought the prison boss would never get punished before leaving.

At the party, Cristian soothed a hysterical Daniel, who hallucinated Suzane's presence after their earlier session with the prison counselor. During this session, Daniel had blamed Suzane for his predicaments, claiming she had a way of making people do what she wanted. They had agreed that Daniel would take the fall and she would visit him in prison weekly, but when he ratted her out during his arrest, she broke up with him. After Cristian took him to bed, he made out with Luka in their cell after lights out.

The following morning, Gal discovered that Earthquake had slept with Mariano, causing him fury. After the morning call, Alexandre went to the counselor's office for his test. The first picture she gave him triggered a memory of dangling a child from the sixth-floor window, causing him to refuse to answer and abruptly leave the office.

Meanwhile, Mariano found an inmate named Dr. Roger passed out in the bathroom. Roger was sentenced to 181 years for drugging and sexually assaulting 37 patients in his gynaecological office. Mariano and Ivan, a prison guard, took him to the doctors who checked him and declared his blood pressure normal before giving him painkillers for his legs.

As Mariano guides Roger to his cell, a mischievous grin spreads across his face, revealing that his illness was nothing but a well-orchestrated ruse. Meanwhile, at the women's prison, Suzane cunningly disassembles her sewing machine, its parts scattered like a trail of breadcrumbs, to lure Sandrao away from her cell for maintenance. With a seductive whisper, she confides that she dismantled the machine because she was "missing" Sandrao. The scene reaches its climax as Elize strolls into the room, her presence a testament to the intrigue and passion that simmers beneath the surface.
