Episode 3 of *Tulsa King* Season 3 kicks off with Dwight and his crew arriving at the distillery. Dwight quickly brings the team up to speed, emphasizing that they now hold the reins but must tread carefully—one misstep, and the Dunmires could pick them off one by one like sitting ducks. Dwight insists on holding off any retaliation until they fully grasp the situation at hand.
Unfortunately, the Musso situation remains unresolved, and right as Dwight is laying out the plan, he gets a call demanding he abandon the distillery operation to handle some of Musso’s unsavory tasks. Bigfoot drops him off, but Dwight’s day takes an even stranger turn when he’s shoved into a self-driving car programmed to whisk him away to Musso’s designated drop-off point. The odd start sets a tense tone, but for now, they’re stuck on this impromptu road trip together.
En route, Musso broods over Armand, who, according to Dwight, has retreated to the Rockies with his family. Yet, the seasoned FBI agent—who seems to have files on every player in the game—drops cryptic hints that Armand’s supposed family vacation might not be what it seems. Later, it becomes clear Musso wasn’t exaggerating: Armand’s wife appears, frantic and seeking answers about her missing husband. Their apartment lies empty, his phone goes unanswered, and the sense of urgency spikes.
Dwight, oblivious to the chaos unfolding back home, is instead briefed on his latest assignment. Their target: a shadowy figure known as the “Watchmaker,” a mastermind who crafts and detonates untraceable explosives for the highest bidder. Dwight’s role isn’t to take the man out but to serve as bait, luring the Watchmaker into action so Musso can swoop in and arrest him red-handed. Musso’s rationale? Dwight’s criminal pedigree will fly under suspicion, whereas his own undercover operatives would never get close without raising alarms.
The stakes are high, the players are unpredictable, and the lines between ally and adversary blur with every twist. Welcome to Tulsa.
Dwight strides in to confront the Watchmaker, boasting boldly in an attempt to coax him into cooperation. Yet, there's a catch—Musso isn't entirely forthcoming with the truth. It becomes evident that Musso harbors a personal grudge against the Watchmaker, a sentiment that could explain the clandestine nature of their meeting and the absence of any backup. Nevertheless, the initial encounter proves successful, and they proceed to strategize for the mission's next phase.
In Dwight's absence, the team fractures, their restless energy yearning for a confrontation. Tyson, in particular, is eager to strike back, and eventually, he sets off with Bodhi and Grace to track Cole and tail him.
They arrive at a warehouse together, and despite Bodhi's reluctance, they proceed to scout the area. Interestingly, they find themselves at a bingo event, with Cole serving as the caller! However, it quickly becomes apparent that Dunmire’s gang is lurking around, orchestrating what seems to be a large-scale scam. Cole takes a cut of the entrance fees, plants a shill in the crowd, and then pockets the prize money as well.
Our trio gets entangled in the scheme, winning the prize money and infuriating Cole in the process. The gang squanders their ill-gotten gains at a strip club, but Tyson is lured away by one of the dancers to the VIP lounge.
Unfortunately, Tyson walks straight into a trap when Cole catches up with him, holding a gun to his face. Cole tortures Tyson until he finally divulges the location of their alcohol stash. With Armand's wife's life hanging in the balance, Tyson breaks under pressure and reveals the information to Cole and his men. Tyson is stuffed into the trunk of a car, and bullets are fired into the hull, but fortunately, it's bulletproof, and he survives the ordeal.
Meanwhile, another subplot unfolds involving Cleo. She embarks on a road trip, ending up drinking with Mitch before heading straight to the Dunmire estate. She performs doughnuts around the property and hurls bottles at Jeremiah’s house. Mitch attempts to dissuade her, but it takes Jeremiah's threats and a couple of guns pointed at her to finally make her back down. Mitch is far from pleased with the outcome.
As the episode draws to a close, Dwight returns home, but it doesn't take long for trouble to find him. Goodie calls him, informing him that the basement has been completely raided. They've lost their entire stock, and Dwight is now resolute in seeking revenge.
