Episode 6 of *The New Force* kicks off the finale with a bombshell revelation: Carin finally sees through Svard's facade and realizes he's deeply entangled in corruption. Yet, summoning her to his office, Svard drops a seemingly benign bombshell of his own—the board has scheduled a final evaluation, and given Carin's status as their media darling, they insist she join them at headquarters to deliver a few carefully chosen words.

The New Force – Season 1 Episode 6 1

After the meeting, Carin spills everything to Reimer: Svard's shady ties to Jack, the web of prostitutes, and the illegal abortion ring operating under their noses. United in purpose, they devise a plan to dismantle the operation. Reimer, however, insists on handing the case over to Fischer, arguing it falls squarely within his jurisdiction.

The transfer doesn’t go unnoticed. As Reimer slips Fischer a note detailing Svard’s involvement, it’s Fischer who basks in the subsequent accolades, leaving Carin to stew in silent fury as the spotlight shifts away from her.

Meanwhile, tensions simmer elsewhere. Siv cuts Oscar down with a icy glare at work, confronting him over his deception about his family. Under pressure, Oscar finally cracks, offering a half-hearted apology and revealing the truth: he’s been married to Marta for eight years. He insists his feelings for Siv are unlike anything he’s ever experienced, professing love—but draws the line at abandoning his family. For Siv, that’s the final straw. She walks away, her resolve unshaken.

Elsewhere, Rossi finally comes clean. He confesses that the station’s male officers have long targeted him with bullying, and he’d hoped the photos of Siv might deflect their attention. Believing the arrival of Siv and other female recruits would curb the abuse, he instead watched things spiral worse when Siv got caught in the crossfire. In a moment of vulnerability, the two reach an understanding. Rossi admits he’s rooting for her to stay once the dust settles, his tone tinged with hope.

The episode closes on a knife’s edge, relationships frayed and truths laid bare, leaving viewers to wonder what fresh storms lie ahead.

What crucial decision does Ingrid make? Meanwhile, Ingrid finds herself unexpectedly fitting in "with the boys" as she accompanies Wallin on patrol. After participating in the rough treatment of a prisoner as a twisted form of initiation, they've fully accepted her into their ranks.

Despite her best efforts to break free, Wallin's sinister hold on her is unyielding, and she can't manage to escape his clutches. Instead, she confides in Berg, and together they hatch a plan to amass more incriminating evidence against Wallin, hoping to finally "be free of his menacing presence." This is, without a doubt, a highly perilous maneuver, yet it aligns with the advice her grandmother imparted in the previous episode. Ingrid and Berg vow to keep this scheme a closely guarded secret, with Ingrid remaining ever vigilant.

Does Carin pass on the crucial details? Carin pays a visit to Arne while he's engrossed in his studies and offers him a heartfelt apology. She's made up her mind to resign from the force entirely, unwilling to risk losing him.

At first glance, it seems like a happy ending is on the horizon. However, Fischer pulls Svard aside and blackmails him regarding the ongoing investigation. He claims to know everything and now demands a "favor" in return. Svard finds himself trapped between a rock and a hard place, but he does manage to secure Jack's release due to "insufficient evidence."

When Carin inquires about the progress of the investigation, Fischer dismissively brushes it off as "going nowhere." She's left stunned. Carin, in a desperate bid for answers, breaks into the interrogation room and questions the doctor who performed the illegal abortions.

What shocking revelation does the doctor make? Off the record, of course, the doctor confesses that she wasn't thrilled about performing the procedure for Monica. Yet, Monica was in a desperate state and insisted. After carrying out the abortion, Monica returned a few days later, clearly unwell. Just then, Svard arrived to pick Monica up from outside the station.

Before Carin can take any further action, she's summoned to an evaluation at the Klare Police Department. Carin immediately brings up the case, Svard's involvement, and the witness they have to corroborate everything.

Svard finally cracks under the pressure, admitting that Monica is actually his daughter. He drove her to the hospital and picked her up from the clinic, only to discover that she had passed away in the backseat of his car from severe blood loss. Jack was never the killer; instead, Svard abandoned Monica's body in the water, covering up the truth and feigning ignorance. This revelation sheds light on the blackmail used against him.

What becomes of the female officers? With Svard's world in ruins, the senior officers reluctantly agree to extend the stay of a makeshift quarters for the female officers. In return for their silence on this matter, a fresh batch of women recruits is slated to join the force later that year. However, if Carin so much as breathes a word of this arrangement to anyone, the extension will be shut down without a second thought. The fate of the entire force now rests on Carin's shoulders and her ability to maintain her silence. Naturally, when Carin returns to the station, Jack casts a suspicious glance her way as he departs, but they have no concrete evidence against him (aside from his shady dealings with the brothel) since he played no part in Monica's demise. Nonetheless, Carin now finds herself with a target painted firmly on her back.

How does "The New Force" draw to a close? That very night, Arne extends an invitation to Carin, asking her to come and stay with him. She declines, however, choosing instead to renege on her earlier decision and persist in her career as a police officer. Arne is taken aback, and Carin opts to keep her true motivations "classified," refusing to divulge the real reason behind her choice.

Carin assures Arne that they will have time for children in the future, but for now, she is determined to focus on her career. Arne is incredulous, pointing out that he can no longer trust her. She has lied to him time and again, and he is far from pleased about her prioritizing her career over him. Eventually, he walks away, ending their relationship.

This all comes at the most inopportune moment, for Carin receives her test results and discovers that she is pregnant. She struggles to keep it together, especially when she arrives at the office and learns that Fischer will be taking over for Svard.
