The ninth episode of Tulsa King's third season opens with the aftermath of the hotel explosion, its shockwaves reverberating through the landscape. In New Jersey, the ruthless assassin Lee showcases his prowess as he effortlessly dispatches a target, his skills honed to a razor's edge. Currently under contract to Quiet Ray, Lee is tasked with a final job - to take out Dwight Manfredi, a mission that weighs heavily on him despite his desire to walk away from the life.

Back in Tulsa, Dwight is eager to distance himself from Musso and his troubled past. To achieve this, he agrees to part with Deacon in exchange for a Federal liquor license. As Montage Distilleries ascends to prominence, Premium Distro and six other companies sever ties with the Dunmires, leaving them reeling from the sudden loss of business. Montague's imminent national launch only stokes Jeremiah's fury and fuels his desire for revenge.
Lee's arrival in Tulsa is a testament to their long-standing bond. He appears at the casino and confronts Dwight with a straightforwardness that borders on a professional courtesy - informing him of the contract Quiet Ray has set against him. The news sends Quiet Ray into a fury when Lee unequivocally rejects his demands.
Dwight's Spider Sense begins to tingle as he reflects on their past, when Lee owed him a debt of gratitude for saving his life in prison. Since then, they've stood by each other's side through thick and thin.
Meanwhile, Tyson continues his scheme with drugs, finally feeling like he has found his purpose in this new world. Dwight, too, gives his blessing for Tyson to continue on this path.
Bodhi's admiration for Tyson's financial acumen is evident, especially given Tyson's unwavering commitment to their agreement and the timely delivery of Bodhi's share. Bodhi extends a helping hand to the young man, urging him towards a life of cooking rather than stealing from the unsuspecting college students. In the end, Bodhi finds himself agreeing to assist Tyson in his baking endeavors, albeit under the strict condition of keeping their activities off-premises. The last thing they need is for Dwight to blow a gasket over their little venture.
As the night unfolds, Lee makes the bold decision to confront Dwight, sharing his desire to leave the life of an assassin behind and start anew. However, Dwight informs him of rumored threats from a fellow assassin from New York, poised to take them both down. Together, Dwight and Lee form a plan to take the initiative and neutralize their foes.
Meanwhile, Tyson encounters resistance at the nightclub he attempts to ply his trade. Predictably, he and Spencer are ejected by an unyielding bouncer, despite Spencer's attempts to curry favor.
As the episode draws to a close, it is Jeremiah who makes the most decisive move, kidnapping Joanne and leaving everything poised for the climax of the story.
