The eighth episode of Tulsa King's third season opens with Dwight's liquor license restored, signaling the revival of his business. Dunmire, newly released from prison, finds himself in a precarious position as the business chugs along. On their way home, Cole and Jeremiah stumble upon Dexter Deacon, the watchmaker, who reveals that he was dispatched by Dwight to execute them. However, Deacon's trust is a precious commodity, and he doesn't trust Dwight's motives. He's aware of Dwight's hidden agenda and prefers to work with Dunmire, aiming to eliminate Dwight and those close to him.

Deacon makes his presence known at a fundraiser rally for Cal Thresher at the Delmore Grand Hotel, undetected as he plants a bomb. Later, he arranges a meeting with Dwight, who alters the designated spot. Musso is present, and Dwight dives right into the nitty-gritty, calling out Musso for abducting Bevilaqua and making it appear as if Dwight was behind it all. He demands his immediate release and a way out of this mess. Unfortunately, Musso isn't in a negotiating mood and declines.
As they drive together, Musso divulges a bit about why this is so personal for him. Deacon is a legitimate threat, but he's also "old business" for the bureau and not a priority. However, for Musso, it's personal; one of his bombs claimed the life of his partner, and now he seeks revenge.
They eventually arrive at the meeting spot, where Musso forces Dwight to wear a wire as he ventures in. However, Dwight deliberately drops it outside the door, and with backup a quarter mile away, it all boils down to this momentous confrontation.
Dwight storms in to confront Deacon with the money, but instead of the expected handover, he pulls out a gun. Thankfully, Dwight's men are swift to react, swiftly turning the tables on their opponents. With Musso like a sitting duck, they haul Deacon out the back and speed off to the cemetery, where they decide to inflict a brutal torture session for information.
Meanwhile, Cal Thresher is eager to enlist Margaret in his administration, referring to her as a Mafia moll and reminding her that while Dwight is seemingly bulletproof, they are all mortal. With Deacon temporarily out of the picture, Jeremiah is poised to wreak his revenge, determined to ensure "some roaches don't check out of their hotel"—a chilling reminder that sends Cole scurrying over to Spencer's side, worried for her safety.
Spencer is in the midst of a raucous party, organized with Tyson to sell MDMA and make a quick buck. She's using Bodhi's weed shop as the venue, who wants a 25% cut of the profits. When Spencer learns of Jeremiah's revenge plan, she alerts Tyson, who in turn calls Dwight to inform him of the impending danger.
After stuffing Deacon in a coffin and leaving him for dead, Dwight hurls a desperate call to Musso, urging him to race over to the hotel. Time is of the essence here, and the place is evacuated just in time to prevent any fatalities. But amidst this carnage, many of Dwight's crew notice Musso chatting with Dwight, and he tells the guy that Deacon is out of sight and out of mind—a decision that will be revisited in the morning.
