Episode 6 of "Twelve" opens with a vivid flashback, where Mirr and Gan-ji are hot on the heels of a demon, their pursuit intense and relentless. Yet, the demon manages to slip through their grasp, vanishing into the shadows. Undeterred, Mirr opts to linger, her heart set on awaiting Ogwi, her beloved boyfriend. Gan-ji, ever the voice of reason, attempts to caution Mirr, revealing that the elders vehemently oppose the union between Ogwi and her. She voices her own fears, worrying that Ogwi will face severe repercussions should the elders discover their continued romance. Gan-ji gently reminds Mirr of Ogwi's humanity, emphasizing their shared duty to shield humans from harm.
Cutting back to the present, we resume the narrative where Tae-san and Won-seung are hurtling towards Mal-rok's location in their vehicle. Tae-san's nerves are frayed, his mind racing back to the vow he made to safeguard the guardian. Meanwhile, Mal-rok remains trapped in the cave, his life's blood slowly ebbing away as Samin looms over him, his taunts laced with cruel amusement.
Ogwi stirs awake, the realization dawning upon him that Samin has pilfered his soul stone. Determined, he sets his sights on Samin, and another clash erupts. In a display of sheer might, Ogwi overpowers and vanquishes Samin. With his foe defeated, Ogwi's attention shifts to Mal-rok.
Fueled by a thirst for retribution for the torment he endured in the depths of hell, Ogwi is resolute in his quest to make Mal-rok suffer the same agony. He vows to end Mal-rok's life. Mal-rok, however, attempts to explain that his actions were merely a fulfillment of God's will to chastise Ogwi. Ogwi finds this notion laughable, his belief that God had never extended a caring hand towards him unshaken.
As their heated exchange lingers, a miraculous resurrection occurs. Samin, now imbued with Hae-tae's powers and rendered immortal, rises once more. He unleashes his newfound abilities, directing them at Ogwi and Mirr. In a split-second decision, Ogwi springs into action, his wings unfurling to shield Mirr as he soars away with her in his arms. Samin, not content to let them escape, summons an army of demons, leaving Mal-rok behind to face his impending doom.
Back at headquarters, Bang-wool continues to diligently care for Geum-soon, while Mal-sook dedicates herself to rigorous training. Meanwhile, Tae-san and Won-seung remain on the road, their journey unyielding. Suddenly, Mal-rok's call pierces through the air, informing Tae-san of all that has unfolded. With a sense of urgency, he commands Tae-san to open the Hellmouth and rescue Mirr. Mal-rok issues a stark warning: once Samin secures the soul stone in Mirr, his power will become insurmountable. In a final gesture of regret, Mal-rok apologizes for his inability to repay the loan he borrowed for Tae-san's sake and for burdening him with such a monumental task. After the call, a heavy silence falls as Mal-rok passes away.
Eventually, Tae-san and Won-seung reach the cave, where they find and retrieve Mal-rok’s lifeless body. They carry him back to headquarters, where a swift yet sorrowful funeral is held in honor of their fallen comrade. Following the ceremony, Tae-san's mind drifts back to a past conversation with Mal-rok, one that took place just after a fierce battle. Mal-rok had cautioned him then, urging him not to let the agony of loss lead him down a dark path. He had reminded Tae-san that it was the angels' destiny to sacrifice themselves for the sake of humanity.
Stirred by Mal-rok’s poignant words and the profound loss of a dear friend, Tae-san seizes a massive sledgehammer and begins to pry open the Hellmouth. The other angels watch in astonishment as he works with unwavering determination. After a strenuous effort, Tae-san finally succeeds in breaking open the Hellmouth, and the angels feel their powers surge back to life. Tae-san then issues a resolute order for the angels to prepare themselves for another impending battle. With the Hellmouth now open, the demons are set free, but they must act swiftly to retrieve Mirr and reseal it within a single day.
Soon after, a crimson light erupts from the Hellmouth, and the demons surge forth in a frenzy. A dark cloud suddenly envelops the land, casting an ominous shadow. As anticipated, the media swiftly reports on the eerie phenomenon, urging viewers to remain indoors for their safety.
Simultaneously, Samin and his demonic minions create a diversion on the streets, causing traffic to grind to a halt. With a malevolent grin, Samin unleashes his powers, sending demons to swiftly possess unsuspecting humans. Chaos erupts as the possessed individuals turn on one another, their actions driven by an unseen malevolence. Samin and his demons watch the scene unfold with a sense of satisfaction, their smiles betraying their dark glee.
The scene then shifts dramatically as Ogwi is seen soaring into yet another cavernous abyss, Mirr cradled tightly in his arms. Exhaustion overtakes him, and he collapses, unconscious, with Mirr nestled close. Meanwhile, back at the headquarters, Bang-wool taps into her newly restored powers, channeling them with a fierce determination to rescue Geum-soon from the brink of disaster. With that crisis averted, the angels brace themselves, their resolve hardening as they prepare to embark on another perilous quest to locate Mirr and avert global catastrophe once more.
Through a poignant flashback, the narrative transports us to the fateful day when Hae-tae met his tragic end. It is revealed that an insidious evil spirit had taken hold of Hae-tae, rendering him a threat to all around him. Tae-san, torn by indecision, hesitated at the thought of slaying his comrade. Yet, as Hae-tae's actions grew increasingly menacing, lashing out at the other angels and even Mal-rok, Tae-san was left with no choice. In a heart-wrenching moment, he made the ultimate sacrifice, slaying Hae-tae to protect the rest. Following the harrowing ordeal, the angels managed to seal the Hellmouth, but not without a heavy price—their powers were extinguished in the process.
