Typhoon Family – K-drama Episode 12 1

At home, Jeong-mi shows Mi-ho the invitation to the Green Mother's Club that Beom received in school, musing aloud about how nice it would be if Mi-ho attended. At work, Ma-jin informs the others that there is only one manufacturer of surgical gloves with a monopoly on the product – Blaze Eagles. This creates a dilemma for Typhoon Trading as there is no room for negotiation, leaving them unable to make a deal with the PPS and still retain a profit.

After speaking with Nam-mo, Tae-poong comes up with the bold idea of directly approaching the company's factory in Malaysia. At the shopping center, Eul-nyeo gathers more insights into Mi-ho's background, learning about her orphanage life and lack of siblings.

As Hyun-jun and Manager Ha strike a deal with Blaze Eagles, Tae-poong sends Song-jung to Malaysia to deal with the factory. However, they learn that the company has recently shifted their operations and are now manufacturing pillows instead.

Bidding day arrives, and Tae-poong waits anxiously for a call from Song-jung. They rush to the PPS office and employ various tactics to stave off time, their determination fueled by a deep sense of urgency and the weight of their family's future on their shoulders.

Tae-poong was given a tight window of fifteen minutes to submit his bid, but he delayed his submission, waiting anxiously for Song-jung's arrival. With just a few minutes left on the clock, a telegram arrived at the PPS for Tae-poong, bearing the cryptic message: "5111, 40, Ok." He promptly submitted his bid, and Typhoon Trading was announced as the victorious bidder!

A flashback revealed a previous phone conversation between Tae-poong and Song-jung, where he mentioned that only ten days had passed since the factory change, and they still had over 5,000 boxes of gloves. Song-jung had managed to negotiate a 40% discount from the factory, which was what the telegram's numbers referred to.

After the bid was secured, Tae-poong and Mi-seon celebrated their victory. As they shared moments of joy, Tae-poong asked Mi-seon what was most precious to her. She replied that her most cherished possession was "tomorrow," the promise of a new day always waiting around the corner. She then asked him the same question, but Tae-poong kept his answer a secret.

At work, Eul-nyeo revealed her true identity to Mi-ho and expressed her disapproval of Mi-ho dating Nam-mo. She believed that Nam-mo would eventually be responsible for the well-being of Mi-ho's entire family, and she did not want that to happen. Nam-mo arrived shortly after and became angry with his mother, dragging Mi-ho away. However, Mi-ho was also upset and told him to leave her alone.

Meanwhile, Hyun-jun found himself in hot water with his father after the latter stood to lose 200 million Won. Bak-ho suggested that Hyun-jun go to the US as a solution, but Hyun-jun was determined to take down Tae-poong. He then met with Cha Seon-taek, who inadvertently revealed the existence of a promissory note.

At a warehouse, Tae-poong and Mi-seon were in the midst of accepting the delivery of the gloves when Tae-poong stepped out to get food. While he was gone, Mi-seon realized that a fire had broken out in the factory. Tae-poong returned to find smoke billowing out from the locked door. There was no doubt who was responsible for this act of sabotage. Tae-poong managed to get the door open and rushed inside to rescue Mi-seon, as the episode ended on a cliffhanger note.
