Typhoon Family – K-drama Episode 15 1

After realizing that the fire escape ladder is their only means of access, Song-jung hesitates due to its rusty and broken state. Tae-poong, however, bravely steps in and climbs the ladder. He discovers that Gang-sik's financial troubles stem from an IMF crisis-induced debt of 30 million won, which he has been unable to repay despite withholding his employees' salaries for a few months. The only way to alleviate this burden is through his own demise.

Gang-sik, unable to find the courage to jump despite standing at dawn, shares his own loss—the death of his father—with Tae-poong, who embraces him from behind. By this time, Song-jung and the others have managed to break through the main door leading to the roof and burst in, pulling Gang-sik down. Song-jung reassures his father that the debt is nothing compared to losing him.

Meanwhile, Hyun-jun visits his father, who he has kept locked up in a storage container. He finds the agreement signed by Bak-ho with Tae-poong and takes it with him. Back at Dabontech, Gang-sik's company, he and Song-jung show Tae-poong and the others around the office. Tae-poong learns that Gang-sik is an innovator with over 20 patents and shows them a security camera robot equipped with an audio sensor that turns towards sound. When Tae-poong claps his hands, the robot turns its gaze towards him.

Intrigued by the potential of this security camera, Tae-poong and his team decide to explore its export potential, thus offering a much-needed solution to help Gang-sik and his family out of their financial predicament. That evening, Mi-seon returned home to find her sister in tears, lamenting the breakup with Nam-mo. Despite Mi-seon's rebuke for engaging with her ex-boyfriend, Mi-ho insisted that the situation was not as it seemed. This became evident when we learned that Mi-ho's ex-boyfriend, Woo Tae-min, was actually a music executive. She had begged him to give Nam-mo a chance, and now Tae-min had appeared at Nam-mo's pub to clear the air.

The next day, Typhoon Trading purchased 500 units of Dabontech's security cameras. As they worked on a plan to export them, Hyun-jun burst into the office with his men, intent on enforcing the terms of the agreement he had found.

Hyun-jun showed Tae-poong the document and forced him to sign a resignation letter, claiming that it was the only way for the other employees to keep their jobs. In the final minutes of his tenure, Tae-poong signed the contract with Dabontech to ensure its success. He then had to say goodbye to his team, and tears were everywhere.

That evening, Nam-mo met with Mi-ho and gave her Tae-min's business card, saying he didn't need her ex-boyfriend's help. He claimed his only dream was to make her happy, but she quickly called him out on this, saying he was still passionate about singing and playing the guitar. This time, she broke up with him and told him not to call.

On her way home, Mi-seon found Tae-poong waiting for her. He said he didn't know what to do with himself, and she told him that the Typhoon Trading employees would wait for him to become their CEO again.

As expected, Hyun-jun was a menace at the office. He made Mi-seon bring him coffee even when she asked him to sign a bank release. Meanwhile, Tae-poong started working at Dabontech, eager to prove himself once again.

Bae Gang-sik, remunerated by Typhoon Trading, makes his way to the bank to settle his debt, which was maturing that day. Alas, the bank's internal affairs conspired against him, forcing its premature closure an hour early, thus denying Gang-sik the opportunity to make his payment. This unfortunate turn of events is all thanks to Hyun-jun's meddling.

Tae-poong arrives at the bank to confront Hyun-jun, the foreigner named Mark Choi, and a senior bank official. Tae-poong pleads with the bank official for help, but he blames Gang-sik's mismanagement without hesitation. The sad truth is that Dabontech has already been declared bankrupt.

Ma-jin raises a red flag about the suspicious timing of the company's bankruptcy, considering the factory's worth millions. Soon, officials from the district court arrive to seize the company's assets, which will be auctioned off. Hyun-jun's claim to buy the assets at the auction only adds fuel to Tae-poong's suspicions.

At Dabontech, the Typhoon Trading team gathers and discovers Seon-taek working there, having secured a cleaning job with the help of Song-jung. Later, overhearing their plans to investigate the Pyo Merchant Marines office to learn more about the contract between Mark Choi and Hyun-jun, Seon-taek joins in.

The next day at work, Mi-seon and her colleagues create a diversion to steal the keys to Pyo Merchant Marine's office. With Koo Myung-gwan reassigned to Pyo Merchant Marine's security team, it becomes easier for them to sneak in at night and explore the premises. Tae-poong and Mi-seon search Hyun-jun's office and find Kang Jin-young's nameplate there for some reason.

They also spot Seon-taek searching the CEO's office. Unfortunately, the guards soon catch on, and a chase ensues. Thankfully, Team Typhoon Trading manages to escape unscathed. As they finally catch their breath, Tae-poong drops his father's nameplate, which shatters open, revealing a promissory note in which Bak-ho promised Jin-young 30% of the company's shares.
