Unchosen – Season 1 Episode 6 1

The following morning, Sam catches Mr. Phillips attempting to flee and enlists Adam's help in pursuing him. They chase him to the fellowship center, where Mr. Phillips pulls out a gun to attack Sam. However, Sam charges at him before he can act, and Adam intervenes, resulting in Mr. Phillips being taken away and locked inside his house.

Rosie struggles to cope with Grace's silence and refusal to speak to her parents. She tries to be patient with her daughter, but Adam erupts in anger when he learns about Mr. Phillips' escape. Rosie confides in her mother about Grace and decides to handle the situation calmly. Eventually, Grace reveals to Rosie that Sam threatened to kill her if she told anyone about their ordeal.

Adam and Rosie confront the situation head-on. Sam tells Adam that he should leave the community and uses his sexuality against him, prompting Adam to walk away, leaving Sam alone with Rosie in the kitchen. Rosie pretends to agree with Sam's demands and lies to him to get him to leave. Once he's gone, she confides in Adam the truth about Sam and the murders, suggesting that Sam likely killed Isaac and framed Mr. Phillips.

Adam is shaken when he learns that Sam threatened Rosie and blames himself for what happened to his brother. Rosie admits to her affair with Sam and tells Adam that their marriage is only nominal, as he does not love her. A storm cuts off power and phone lines across the community, adding to the tension.

Adam instructs Rosie and Grace to pack their bags so they can leave. Rosie expresses her desire to separate from him due to his sexual assault and asks him to drop her off at the nearest station so she can leave with Grace. Adam is devastated but asks if he can stay in touch with Grace.

The episode ends with a sense of uncertainty and impending conflict as the characters grapple with their emotions and the consequences of their actions.

The Harrisons drive out in their truck, only to be forced to stop when a fallen tree blocks the road. Sam approaches the vehicle, and Rosie tells him they are heading to the hospital for Grace's hearing aid. Sam checks the truck and discovers the suitcases.

Adam distracts Sam by telling him to check something else, and signals to Rosie and Grace to run. Sam knocks Adam unconscious and chases after Rosie and Grace. They hide in the woods and make their way to the sawmill, where Rosie tells Grace to hide while she looks for help.

Rosie confronts Sam about his threatening behavior towards Grace. She tells him she's afraid of him and tries to escape. Sam chases her and attacks her in the water, trying to drown her for leaving and lying to him. He stops when she loses consciousness.

Rosie regains consciousness and tells Sam to let her go if he truly loves her. Sam lets her leave, and she runs back to Grace.

Adam confronts Sam with Mr. Phillips' gun and threatens him. Sam tells him to call the police and hands him Issac's phone. He shows Adam the recording of their encounter, and Adam realizes that Sam used him to gain favor in the community.

Mason finds Mr. Phillips locked up and chooses to leave Sam alone in the community. Rosie and Grace go to meet Miriam and her son, Matthew. A year later, Sam becomes the new elder of the community as the season comes to an end.
