In the seventh episode of Vladimir's journey, John's hearing commences, but M fails to appear. The witnesses unanimously testify that John had taken advantage of them, had made them feel special, and that they had never initiated the affairs. Sid is visibly upset and relentlessly texts and calls M, who completely ignores all his messages and takes Vlad to a café far away. Even Cynthia reaches out to Vlad, who similarly ignores her. They discuss his book, and M continually finds excuses to keep him around longer, even getting him drunk.
Eventually, Vlad needs to leave as Cynthia's condition deteriorates. However, M convinces him to visit her cabin to write, promoting him as a great writer who should prioritize himself. She even suggests that Cynthia might be having an affair, which surprises him since he believed she was working on her book.
At the cabin, M hides the WiFi router and phones to prevent them from contacting anyone. She receives numerous texts, including Cynthia begging her to get Vlad to contact her and her family expressing their disappointment with her. In the end, she texts John to give her space.
M is delighted when, instead of writing, Vlad expresses interest in talking to her and they resume their day drinking. However, she is upset that she made detailed notes and constructive criticism about his book, and he hasn't returned the favor. He explains that he is intimidated and shows that he has annotated her book with his thoughts. But they are quite superficial, like him thinking the narrator is hot. Of course, M is stuck on the fact that he may find her hot, but he quickly changes the topic. They end up dancing with him teaching her salsa. They tumble and his swim trunks fall out of her purse. He jokes that he should put them on, and she gets visibly awkward. He tries to lighten the mood by asking about her new book. They share a moment when she explains that it's about desire. However, instead of making a move on her, he goes for a swim, disappointing her.
M seems to be getting a reality check and is about to forget the entire endeavor when she stumbles upon the pills she had stolen from Lynn. With determination in her heart, she decides to roofie his drink, hoping to keep Vlad with her for just a little longer. When he returns from his swim, he happily downs the laced drink, and soon, he's wobbling like a drunkard. By the time he takes a shower, he's barely able to stand. M panics as this is more than she had anticipated, struggling to get him dressed. As he keeps falling, she decides to chain him to a chair for his own safety.
Once he passes out, she can't help but admire his body. She uses his phone to text Cynthia, explaining that he needs space because of her and John. Then, she drops his phone in the water, claiming it's all for his benefit. She spends her time writing her new novel, assuring viewers that she will let him go and explain everything to him when he wakes up. After falling asleep, John texts that he's going to look for her. At the end of the episode, Vlad wakes up and starts screaming in terror.
