Episode 6 of WandaVision kicks off with another sitcom intro, this time borrowing the essence of "Malcolm In The Middle." Halloween arrives, and with the kids now significantly older, Tommy and Billy devise a prank on their uncle. Yet, their uncle makes no attempt to hide his superhuman speed, even as a rift begins to form between Vision and Wanda, their differing opinions on how to celebrate the spooky holiday.
Outside the perimeter, Hayward stands before his colleagues, who lambast him for his handling of Wanda in the previous episode. Their dissatisfaction is heightened by their ignorance of the consequences should Wanda perish. Monica attempts to reason with Hayward, but her words fall on deaf ears.
Hayward's decision to exile Monica, Darcy, and Jimmy Woo only fuels their defiance. On their way out, they overpower the guards, seizing their weapons and assuming S.W.O.R.D. disguises, ready to unleash chaos.
Back in the sitcom world, chaos is indeed the order of the day. Pietro runs amok, utilizing his superhuman speed to disrupt Halloween festivities for all. When Wanda inquiries about Vision's involvement, she learns he's not actually on the case, despite his earlier assurance.
Meanwhile, Vision stands on the outskirts of town, noticing cracks in the fabric of reality. A woman, stuck in a malfunctioning loop as she attempts to hang decorations, sheds a single tear.
Outside the sitcom bubble, our trio of rebels discovers evidence pointing to a significant secret Hayward has been hiding. He's devised a way to peer through the boundary, but his true target is Vision, not Wanda.
As they mention the stillness of those on the periphery, we shift our gaze to within the anomaly, where everyone is frozen in place. Vision ascends above the town, surveying the landscape, and spots a lone car attempting to flee. It's Agnes, searching for the Town Square but trapped in her own loop. Vision's touch snaps her out of her trance, and she recognizes him as an Avenger, revealing that he's actually deceased. Undeterred, Vision marches towards the perimeter to investigate further.
Outside the anomaly, Darcy breaks the news to Monica that she's undergoing molecular changes. While Monica and Jimmy depart, Darcy remains, determined to hack the computer, convinced that something significant lies within. Her efforts are rewarded soon after. Checking the GPS tracker, she discovers Vision heading straight for the anomaly's exterior.
Our Avenger pushes through to the other side, Darcy racing out to catch sight of him. As Hayward and his men observe from afar, Darcy attempts, albeit futilely, to aid Vision. His body collapses, fragments of flesh peeling away, as he grits his teeth and calls for help.
Miraculously, Billy manages to telepathically communicate with Vision from outside, prompting Wanda to unleash her powers, blasting the anomaly and expanding it outward, just as Monica had foretold. Darcy, handcuffed to a car, is pulled into the anomaly, along with the soldiers. Hayward, however, manages to escape the clutches of this bizarre reality.
