We are transported back to the aftermath of the Hyde attack at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday, accompanied by Morticia, Gomez, and Enid, convenes with Dort and the Sheriff. The Sheriff's eyes widen in disbelief upon learning that Francoise, Tyler's mother, is still alive, leaving the town with two Hydes lurking about.
Morticia unveils her pact with Francoise, leaving the Sheriff uncertain about the Hydes' departure. Dort, however, refocuses the discussion on the impending gala. Believing the Hydes have vanished, he considers their predicament resolved and shifts his attention to salvaging the gala, imposing a school-wide curfew.

To reclaim her psychic prowess, Wednesday must mend her strained relationship with Morticia. Her abilities, intricately tied to familial ties, also hinge on emotional clarity. Professor Orloff interrupts their conversation, prompting Wednesday to inquire about Francoise.
