Before Will can digest this information, another knock echoes through the hallway. He half-jokingly asks Amanda if they're hosting a brunch, but his query falls flat as Faith enters. Amanda teases Faith for her tardiness, while Faith inquiries about coffee, to which Will responds by gesturing towards the freshly brewed pot in his kitchen. Will's discomfort with these unannounced visitors is palpable.
Amanda assigns Will and Faith the task of investigating the Atkins Co. container yard. Will's dismay deepens upon learning that Babs, the yard's manager, has been forewarned of their visit. Heading back to the kitchen, Will finds Faith holding the pregnancy test instructional paper, which she nonchalantly comments on before announcing her intention to wait for him in the car.
Will attempts to reach Angie but encounters difficulties in connecting with her. In a vivid flashback, a youthful Will is seen trying to sneakily remove an item from a bag, while a young Angie anxiously awaits his actions. Together, they bolt, hotwire a car, and speed away.
Upon arriving at the yard, Will and Faith are escorted around by Babs. While inspecting the container, Will detects something amiss and, upon deeper investigation, realizes that an employee had manipulated the container numbers.
This revelation elucidates how a container filled with guns went missing, as the perpetrator altered the number and discreetly drove it out without detection. It hints that a member of the Confederate Front might have been employed at the company and orchestrated the theft. During his thorough search of the container yard, Will stumbles upon a concealed corpse in a secluded corner, later identified as Jed, a logistics coordinator.
Meanwhile, Angie and Ormewood accompany the coroner at the Atlanta Police Department morgue. The coroner explains how Roland Wynders was fatally shot in a skirmish outside a sneaker store during the highly anticipated release of a new collection.
Ormewood mentions confidently that they possess both eyewitnesses and motives, hinting at a case that seems cut and dried. He then proceeds to interrogate the store manager, Lou Lou. She reveals that the victim had just bagged the last pair of sneakers when an intruder burst in, fired a shot, and bolted out with the footwear. Lou Lou harbors suspicions towards Pun’kin, a sneaker reseller and her rival, who was present in the store and had caused quite a commotion.
However, Angie is momentarily taken off guard when Lou Lou addresses Ormewood by his first name, Michael. As Angie departs, Lou Lou leans in to Ormewood, stressing that he owes her a favor. She insists that her store's reputation for safety must not be tarnished. Ormewood assures her that they will resolve the case swiftly.
Outside, Angie encounters a man named Jerry Kilargis. He shares with her that he witnessed the shooter, who was clad in a hoodie. Jerry specifies that the shooter wore basic sneakers. In return, Angie introduces Jerry Kilargis to the ongoing investigation.
In the meantime, Faith reveals to Will that Jed Pipski, the deceased, served as a logistics coordinator with no apparent ties to the Confederate Front but maintained an unusually frequent phone contact with Babs. Curiously, Babs never mentioned Jed being absent for three days. Noticing Will's preoccupation, Faith inquiries if his thoughts are entangled with the pregnancy test, to which Will remains tight-lipped.
