The sixth episode of "Wonder Man" begins with a flashback, revealing Trevor filming a tape for a terrorist role that ultimately led to his career's downfall and incarceration. The episode then leaps to the present day, where Trevor drives Simon to Von Kovak's house. Simon is in a panic over the call-back audition and concerned that he won't be well-rested after their antics from the previous night. Trevor urges Simon to calm down as they make their way to the filmmaker's residence.
Upon arrival, they find other potential actors who are being considered for the roles of Wonder Man and Barnaby. The actors boast about their years of experience or their education from prestigious film schools, making Simon and Trevor feel inexperienced and underqualified. Von greets the six actors and discusses the process of filmmaking with them. He then splits the actors into pairs, but unfortunately, Simon and Trevor end up paired with other people.
Von notices that the actors are acting mechanically and asks them to throw away the script. He gives the actors an improv scene to act out. Trevor performs brilliantly in his character, impressing Von. However, Simon gets into his character but ends up recreating a scene from the popular movie "Pretty Woman." Von is not impressed with this, and Simon blames Trevor for not pushing to be Simon's partner.
Simon falls asleep and has a nightmare about using his superpower to kill an actor during an improv scene. He is worried and asks for space from Von. Trevor tries to check up on Simon, who reveals that he is too afraid to expose his true self in front of the filmmaker. Trevor tries to make Simon see that he is more than just his secret and asks him to expose his normal life and the experiences that have shaped him over the years.
Together, Simon and Trevor enact the scene from "Wonder Man" as planned for a redo of the audition, which leaves everyone in the room silent. Von asks Simon and Trevor to be escorted out and follows after them. He tells Simon and Trevor that they will be playing Wonder Man and Barnaby.
The two actors are both taken aback as they drive back to their respective homes, their minds reeling with the dramatic turn of events. The episode concludes with Clearly picking Trevor up from outside his hotel, issuing an ultimatum to the man to testify against Simon in court. Trevor, understanding the gravity of the situation, respectfully requests more time to gather irrefutable evidence against Simon.
