In the seventh episode of "Would You Marry Me," the narrative picks up as Woo-joo confesses his heartfelt feelings for Me-ri in the hospital setting, leaving her momentarily stunned and promptly listing off reasons why their relationship might not be a good idea. Woo-joo begins to ponder if his affection is causing her discomfort.

The conversation abruptly shifts to the topic of his financial responsibility, and Woo-joo's slight offense prompts him to walk away, prompting a chasing Me-ri to follow. Meanwhile, the dreaded Woo-ju continues to act like a child at the hospital, dismayed when Me-ri leaves for an urgent work matter, leaving Woo-joo to take care of him. The other patients are also growing increasingly annoyed by Woo-ju's constant theatrics. He attempts to provoke Woo-joo by mentioning a reunion with Me-ri, but Woo-joo swiftly puts him in his place.
At Myunsoondang, Pil-nyeon requests her secretary to delve into the financial documents Mr. Ko discovered secretly. In the meantime, Han-gu brings in a fake employee from an American company Myunsoondang is collaborating with. Pil-nyeon is under the impression that their latest project to enter the American market is progressing well, unaware that it is non-existent and Han-gu has been embezzling the funds. This little fraud!
Later, Me-ri texts Woo-joo, thanking him and promising not to disturb him again. The following morning, Woo-ju's family returns to Korea and hurries to the hospital. At the hospital, the nurse and fellow patients complain that Woo-ju stinks. To help him, Woo-joo tries to clean him up. As soon as Woo-ju's mom and sister make their dramatic entrance, Woo-joo leaves.
Later, Woo-ju starts crying about how he can't live without Me-ri. He comes clean about his breakup with Jenny, revealing that he has only just discovered his love for Me-ri—a bit too late for this epiphany if you ask me! Nonetheless, he asks his mom and sister to help him get back with Me-ri. Boldly, his mom and sister call Me-ri, blaming her for what happened and demanding she come to the hospital to take care of Woo-ju. Me-ri calmly explains that she has done enough and cuts ties with them. Her colleague overhears the conversation and apologizes for telling Woo-ju where Me-ri was last time.
In the twilight hours, Woo-joo ferries Me-ri from her work in his gleaming new car, promising to be her chauffeur more often and even bestowing upon her a bouquet of blooms. As they make their way to her abode, he unearths his old diaries, eager to showcase his financial acumen. However, Me-ri teases him about Miso, the enigmatic figure who inhabits the pages of his journal.
Woo-joo admits that Miso was indeed his first crush, a mystery girl whom he owes his gratitude to. As she teases him playfully, Me-ri stumbles, and they come close to sharing a kiss amidst the looming thunderstorm. The heavens open up, and Woo-joo seizes the opportunity to spend the night at Me-ri's, sending her soothing tunes to lull her to sleep amidst the fury of the storm.
Meanwhile, Yin-gyeong and Sang-hyun find themselves having dinner together after Pil-nyeon's no-show. Yin-gyeong inquires why Sang-hyun allows his boss to walk all over him. Sang-hyun, in a candid confession, reveals that those from humble backgrounds like him must relinquish pride and convictions to retain their jobs. This revelation flusters Jin-gyeong, and they commence imbibing.
The night ends with Jin-gyeong slurring and asking Sang-hyun for insights into why her crush doesn't fancy her. Sang-hyun is blunt in his honesty, stating that perhaps her crush never saw her as a potential love interest from the get-go. He explains that men usually discern such things at first glance. A tipsy Jin-gyeong weeps and passes out in Sang-hyun's car.
The next morning, they deliberately appear in front of Sang-hyun for breakfast, though he is preoccupied with procuring clothes for Jin-gyeong, who slept on his sofa. He departs early, allowing Woo-joo and Me-ri to savor their breakfast in peace.
Following breakfast, they run into San-guk, one of Me-ri's favorite celebrities. Woo-joo's jealousy rears its head, and he insists on San-guk signing his t-shirt instead of Me-ri's. He also captures poor photographs of the two, their moment marred by his possessive jealousy.
As dawn broke, Jin-gyeong stirred from slumber, her mind replaying the embarrassing moments of her time at Sang-hyun's abode. That man had truly suffered at her hands, and she couldn't help but cringe in shame as he returned. Once he left for work, she hastily prepared herself and departed as well. On her way out, she encountered Me-ri and Woo-joo, their bickering filled with joy as they strolled.
Woo-joo confessed that he was working with Me-ri to secure her the house, a revelation that sent Jin-gyeong into a tizzy. She implored him to end it, warning of the legal and social repercussions the fraud would bring upon him once discovered. Me-ri overheard their conversation, and later, Jin-gyeong called her to schedule a meeting.
At the Myunsoondang office, Han-gu deliberately hindered Pil-nyeon's secretary's investigation, revealing his involvement with many others in his fraudulent endeavors.
Me-ri met with Jin-gyeong and discovered the true reason behind Woo-joo's assistance. Thanks to Jin-gyeong's slip of the tongue, Me-ri learned that Woo-joo was Pil-gyeon's grandson and was helping out of a sense of obligation towards her.
After speaking with Pil-gyeon, Me-ri visited her mother in the village, where Young-sook immediately sensed something was weighing on her daughter's mind. Back in Seoul, Jin-gyeong met with Woo-joo and confessed the mess she had made.
Woo-joo tracked Me-ri to her village, finding her walking their dog. Me-ri insisted that he should stop helping her and clarified that she didn't blame his family for her father's death. He confided in his feelings for Me-ri and assured her that he was helping out of love, not guilt. To prove his point, he kissed her passionately yet gently.
