As the 14th episode of "You and Everything Else" unfolds, Sang-yeon's confession of stealing her friend's work is a casual declaration, as if she's just mentioning a minor inconvenience. She nonchalantly assures Eun-jung that she'll give her credit and include her name in the end credits. Eun-jung, though reluctant to sell it, feels powerless to do much about it. Joo, swayed by Sang-yeon's words, taunts her with the deal, furthering Eun-jung's dismay.

You and Everything Else – K-drama Episode 14 1

Sang-hak arrives to see Eun-jung, having understood the situation and wanting to do something nice for her. Having worked with Joo for four years, this betrayal is a bitter pill to swallow, but Eun-jung refuses to let her emotions cloud her judgment.

Eventually, Eun-jung sits down to speak with Director Joo, who believed Sang-yeon's assertion that she was on board with this move. Eun-jung wants him to do the right thing, but Joo's mind is made up. The fact that he was treated like crap at JD Entertainment and has held a grudge against them ever since he was switched for a different Director doesn't help matters. This new deal with Sang-yeon is much more lucrative for him.

The film development contract Sang-yeon is working on with Joo is now titled 'Echoes of Summer.' Due to the script rights, it would see 60 million won split between them. When Eun-jung sees the contract, she simply rips it up in anger, calling Sang-yeon a thieving bitch.

Eun-jung eventually walks away, questioning who will even be by her side when she dies. This action marks the end of any ties between them and finishes what little shred they had of their friendship.

As Director Gyeong learns of this development, she confronts Sang-yeon with a stern query, her tone laced with disbelief. Sang-yeon's response is unyielding; she confesses her hatred for Eun-jung, stating that she will stop at nothing to bring her down. Eun-jung, on the other hand, finds herself in a state of profound discontentment and struggle, her mental state teetering on the edge. It takes the reassuring words of Sang-hak to help steady her as she pauses to regain her composure on set.

In the present moment, Eun-jung wakes up to find Sang-yeon perusing through her laptop, her presence an unwelcome intrusion. Eun-jung's displeasure spills over as she attempts to move away, but in her haste, she inadvertently clutches Sang-yeon's arm, causing her considerable pain. Eun-jung is left reeling from the shock, as Sang-yeon taunts her about her efforts to be cold-hearted and the struggle that comes with it. This is enough to prompt Eun-jung to demand that Sang-yeon leave her house once and for all.

Sang-yeon obliges, providing Eun-jung with the details of her departure and the date of her trip to Switzerland, but her words hold a dark undercurrent – an encouragement for Eun-jung to join her on this journey. The truth is that Sang-yeon is on a path towards suicide, a fact reinforced by one of the producers from Swallow Pictures. The producer continues, explaining that Sang-yeon had intended to stay with Eun-jung for three days, but she hadn't anticipated anything happening to her arm in that time.

You see, due to significant bone metastasis, the slightest pressure on the affected area leaves behind marks, and Eun-jung's grip on Sang-yeon's arm has caused her genuine harm.

The very next day, Eun-jung ventured forth to meet Sang-yeon, only to be stunned by the narrow-mindedness and selfishness that continued to plague her friend's heart. Staggeringly, Sang-yeon had not even confided in her husband or many of her team members about her actions. Her rationale was a simple one: with little time left, she prioritized rekindling the friendship they once shared, aspiring to be friends with Eun-jung once again.

Eun-jung implored Sang-yeon to tell the truth to those who cared for and loved her, uninterested in an apology. She refused to engage with her, much like Sang-yeon had done years ago. This was primarily due to Eun-jung's shock and concern over the sudden revelation of Sang-yeon's suicide attempt.

Sang-yeon even fell to her knees and apologized, admitting that her confession was a result of her guilt over the past. She had not had the chance to make amends with her brother or mother, but with Eun-jung, it was different. Sang-yeon was determined to try and make amends, moving through this ordeal and healing. However, Eun-jung was enraged that it had taken this illness for Sang-yeon to make such a substantial move. Despite ample opportunities while making Swallow Pictures a success, Sang-yeon had never apologized.

The two engaged in a heartfelt conversation, both struggling to contain their raw emotions. In the morning, Sang-yeon decided to release an article, explaining how she started Swallow Pictures and the wrongs she had caused Eun-jung. It was clear that she was doing whatever she could to win over her former friend.

When Eun-jung spoke to Hee-jin about this, it was revealed that Eun-jung had quit the film industry and moved to TV after everything that had transpired. As for Sang-yeon's marriage, she had gotten divorced several years ago, leaving her truly alone with no one else. The only constant in her life all this time had been Eun-jung, hence why she reached out.

Sang-yeon left behind an envelope containing medical records and details of her life. There was a particularly interesting piece within it, written in English, about Sang-yeon's feelings regarding her life. In this writing, Sang-yeon mentioned her "jinx" (Sang-hak) and how she had only truly had a few people in her life. This was the writing she had been talking about beforehand. However, here we saw many of the scenes recontextualized from Sang-yeon's perspective.

As she grew up, her mother's sternness loomed large in her life. She resented Eun-jung for being the apple of her mother's eye and for making her brother laugh, but deep down, she loved her too. She blamed herself for Sang-hak's death and admits that in her frustration, she lashed out at Eun-jung, wanting to destroy her to be on an equal footing.

In the aftermath of this turmoil, Eun-jung reaches out to Sang-yeon via a message, suggesting they visit their mother once again. She finally comprehends Sang-yeon's feelings and is willing to listen. However, on her way there, a problem arises. An ambulance is parked outside, and Sang-yeon is rushed to the hospital.
