The thirteenth episode of "You and Everything Else" commences with Sang-yeon's desperation as she implores Eun-jung to make a solemn promise never to see Sang-hak again. Eun-jung, visibly displeased, points out the extensive amount of time and effort Sang-yeon has invested in blaming her for the misfortunes in her life. She reiterates that Sang-yeon is solely to blame for not expressing her true feelings to Sang-hak.

Eun-jung speaks candidly, admitting that she may even consider rekindling her relationship with Sang-hak. Sang-yeon sobs and pleads, but Eun-jung has had enough. She urges Sang-yeon to pull herself together and walks away. However, witnessing Sang-yeon's state does affect Eun-jung, as she informs Sang-hak that she cannot rekindle what they once had. This provides Sang-hak with a sense of closure, as he knew this was coming and has made peace with it. They eventually shake hands and part ways, agreeing to maintain a line of communication.

Despite this, Sang-yeon is distant and barely registers Eun-jung's presence, deciding to ignore her and refuses to engage. Sang-yeon has her own set of problems, not least her father, whom she agrees to pay off after his latest scamming incident. However, she also demands that he never bother her again.

Sang-yeon notices that he has new shoes, which were actually paid for by the money Eun-jung gave him for leaving JD Entertainment that day. Sang-yeon is not pleased and hands over the million won Eun-jung lent her dad. She demands that Eun-jung stay out of her business, but Sang-yeon is not without her own trespasses either. She crosses the line and starts meddling with Director Joo, further complicating her already tumultuous situation.

A scheduling quagmire and on-set timings created chaos when the lead star arrived late to the shoot, even striking one of the assistants out of frustration. Sang-hak stood up for the unfortunate Ho-cheol, but his act of defiance only exacerbated the situation, as Ho-cheol's team demanded a change in Director of Photography from that point on. To make matters worse, Sang-yeon proposed a solution that saw Ho-cheol apologize to Seung-jae, a move that Eun-jung found abhorrent. She believed it set a terrible precedent, but with Seung-jae being the top star and replaceable talent at hand, they were left with no choice but to acquiesce.

Eun-jung seethed in silence as Sang-hak approached Seung-jae to apologize, but the latter barely deigned to notice him. When Sang-hak questioned him, he scoffed, prompting Sang-yeon to kneel before him and issue an apology. While this resolved the immediate issue, it left Eun-jung disillusioned. She saw through Sang-yeon's veneer and knew that her emotions were clouding her judgment. She had only acted to protect Sang-hak.

Sang-yeon turned the tables, pointing out the financial risks of not having Seung-jae on board. However, after this fiasco, things took a turn for the worse. The entire crew went on strike, refusing to work until Seung-jae apologized. Hearing this, Sang-yeon decided to quit outright, walking away without saying goodbye to anyone and leaving the production in limbo.

Eun-jung did learn that Seung-jae was willing to apologize, which was at least something. Sang-yeon was now off the project and would have to develop another script. Eun-jung tried to convince her to stay, but Sang-yeon was bitter and angry. She played the victim and blamed Eun-jung for pushing away everyone who cared about her in her desire to protect her pride. When Sang-hak learned of her resignation, there was little he could say to change her mind.

Sang-yeon was determined to do whatever it took to make herself a success, and that determination drove her away from JD Entertainment. Interestingly, it led her to Director Joo, whom she chose to work with.

Sang-yeon, seeking solace, makes her way to Eun-jung's mother's presence, her words tumbling out in a self-deprecating confession that she's nothing but a bitch, before reaching out for a hug. For Sang-yeon, who has never known the warmth of true maternal love, this embrace is a precious moment she savors. Ms. Jang, moved by the encounter, desires a repeat of the encounter, though the likelihood of it happening is slim.

Eun-jung receives news that shatters her heart: Sang-yeon, in tandem with Director Han, has launched Swallow Pictures, the very company they had mentioned in the first episode. JD has invested a ten-billion-won sum in exchange for a 100% stake in the venture. Meanwhile, Director Joo, after departing JD Entertainment, carries a secret motivation - to take the romantic project he had been nurturing for Eun-jung with him.

Eun-jung confronts Sang-yeon in her office, the latter reiterating her petty act of stealing Eun-jung's project and her desire to see Eun-jung's life crumble, just as hers has been.
