The twelfth episode of "You and Everything Else" begins with Sang-yeon confronting Eun-jung, her eyes blazing with jealousy as she suspects Eun-jung is leading Yu-chan and Sang-hak on simultaneously. Sang-yeon, fueled by a burning desire to make Eun-jung jealous, declares her intention to profess her love for Sang-hak soon. However, Eun-jung remains unfazed by her words.
As the group heads to a new location—Ms. Yoon's house, a run-down and dilapidated structure that holds a multitude of memories for Sang-yeon—the air thickens with tension. While Sang-yeon seems to embrace the house as a filming location, Eun-jung is deeply affected by its state of disrepair, a reminder of her own past struggles. The house is slated for demolition, but Sang-yeon is determined to press on with filming.
At the office, Yu-chan's feelings for Eun-jung continue to escalate, with him dropping a flower at her desk as a subtle attempt to express his love. Eun-jung, however, calls him out on his actions, trying to heed Sang-yeon's words of warning.
That evening, during a night shoot, someone trips over a wire, causing a large light to topple over. Sang-hak jumps forward to protect Eun-jung, taking the brunt of the impact to his head. Blood begins to trickle down his forehead as Sang-yeon watches on, her heart filled with a mix of emotions—admiration for Sang-hak's bravery and a sense of foreboding about the events unfolding.
Sang-yeon masterfully chooses her moments; she confides in Sang-hak during her recovery, pouring out her heart and professing her love. Her words are tinged with a subtle desperation, as she shares that Eun-jung doesn't approve of her. Intriguingly, she repeats the same words Eun-jung used before their rift, questioning what she has that's so special. Sang-hak, however, remains uninterested, and even Sang-yeon tries to play the pity card. He eventually turns his back and walks away, leaving her wondering aloud, "Why can't I be the chosen one for once?" This question echoes the underlying sentiment that has been brewing within her.
Sang-hak then turns his attention to Eun-jung, deciding he desires a fresh start with her. But little does he know, Sang-yeon's father bursts into the building, causing a commotion. Eun-jung quickly silences any gossip from her colleagues, standing up for Sang-yeon and ensuring her father is kept at bay.
Realizing the hardships Sang-yeon has endured, Eun-jung does her utmost to make her feel welcome in the office. She encourages Sang-yeon to get involved, and even Director Gyeong chimes in, suggesting now that Sang-yeon has a definitive answer from Sang-hak, she should date someone who can reciprocate her feelings – like him.
Despite the effort to move on, it's not easy to extinguish those feelings, especially when they're immersed in the same film shoot and spending countless hours together. On their way home, Eun-jung finds Sang-yeon drunk and slumped on a bench. She enlists Sang-hak's help to get Sang-yeon home, where Eun-jung takes care of her. In her inebriated state, Sang-yeon confesses her love for Sang-hak and her unwillingness to let him go.
