Demi Moore to Star in New Taylor Sheridan Drama Series ‘Landman’

Moore gracefully joins the esteemed ranks of veteran movie stars, taking the reins in Sheridan's captivating dramas. Taylor Sheridan's upcoming thriller series, "Landman," has casted Demi Moore in a starring role, adding yet another illustrious name to its already star-studded cast.

Moore, a renowned actress known for her roles in "The Ghost" and "A Few Good Men," joins the previously announced star Billy Bob Thornton as a series regular. She will portray Cami, the wife of one of the most influential oil tycoons in Texas and a close friend of Tommy Norris (Thornton).

Moore joins a growing roster of esteemed film stars from the 1980s and 90s who have signed on to Sheridan's captivating shows, including Harrison Ford, Kevin Costner, Helen Mirren, Sylvester Stallone, and Nicole Kidman. Currently, Moore is also stealing the show in FX/Hulu's anthology series, "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans."

"Landman," described by Paramount+ as a "modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs," is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas. Based on the popular 11-part podcast "Boomtown," the series delves into the upstairs/downstairs world of roughnecks and billionaire wildcats who are fueling a boom that is shaping our climate, economy, and geopolitics.

The drama is a collaboration between Oscar nominee Sheridan and Christian Wallace, and boasts an ensemble cast including Ali Larter ("The Last Victim"), Michelle Randolph ("1923"), Jacob Lofland ("Joker 2"), Kayla Wallace ("When Calls the Heart"), James Jordan ("Yellowstone"), Mark Collie ("Nashville"), and Paulina Chávez ("The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia").

Filming has commenced in and around Fort Worth, Texas, with MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Sheridan's Bosque Ranch Productions helming the production. "Landman" joins the growing roster of Sheridan's Paramount+ shows, including "1923," "1883," "Special Ops: Lioness," "Mayor of Kingstown," "Tulsa King," and "Lawmen: Bass Reeves." Sheridan's flagship Paramount Network show, "Yellowstone," is also expected to commence filming its final season this spring, promising another thrilling chapter in his captivating storytelling universe.
