Hailey Bieber has opened up about her health, baring her soul in a recent update. Barely a year after welcoming her and Justin Bieber's bundle of joy, Jack Blues Bieber, the Rhode Skin founder shared a personal update pertaining to her reproductive health on Instagram Stories on April 21. "I'm currently battling two ovarian cysts," she revealed. "If you're also grappling with ovarian cysts, you're not alone in this fight!"

According to the Mayo Clinic, ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that can arise within or on the surface of the ovary. While they are common and often resolve spontaneously, some ovarian cysts have the potential to rupture, triggering severe symptoms such as intense abdominal pain and bloating.

Hailey didn't elaborate further on her condition, but she did share a snapshot of herself lifting her shirt to reveal her bare abdomen.

This isn't the first time the 28-year-old has faced a health scare. In March 2022, she suffered a mini-stroke that ultimately led to the diagnosis of a heart condition, an experience she deemed as "one of the most terrifying moments" of her life.

"I was sitting down to breakfast with my husband when I started experiencing stroke-like symptoms and was rushed to the hospital," she recounted on Instagram Stories at that time. "Doctors discovered that I had suffered a tiny blood clot in my brain, resulting in a brief oxygen deprivation. However, my body managed to dissolve the clot on its own, and I fully recovered within a matter of hours."

Subsequently, the model was diagnosed with patent foramen ovale (PFO), a congenital heart defect where a small opening between the heart's upper chambers, which is normally present during fetal development, fails to close after birth. To rectify the issue, Hailey underwent a procedure to seal the "considerably large" opening.

"I underwent a test, and they discovered that I had a grade five PFO, the most severe grade possible," she recounted in an April 2022 YouTube video. "But at that point, I was just thankful that they had found it and were aware of its presence."

Doctors speculated that the blood clot had traveled to her heart, triggering a transient ischemic attack (TIA).

"I feel incredibly relieved that we were able to uncover everything, close the opening, and move past this harrowing ordeal," she added. "I can now embark on living my life without the shadow of this frightening situation looming over me."
