Doubts cast a shadow over Gal Gadot's portrayal of the Evil Queen aspiring to be the fairest of all when Rachel Zegler, embodying the iconic Disney Princess, sets her sights on reclaiming her Kingdom in the recently unveiled trailer for Disney's Snow White remake, which premiered on Tuesday.

Disney’s ‘Snow White’: Rachel Zegler Regains Kingdom From Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen in Official Trailer 1

As Snow White (Zegler) flees the clutches of her stepmother, played with sinister elegance by Gadot, she finds refuge in the woods, where she encounters her cherished companions — Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy. These beloved dwarves offer her safety, but Snow White, with determination in her heart, seeks their aid instead. "The Queen has taken everything from us all," the talented actress from West Side Story declares to her woodland friends from within their cozy cottage. "I need your help. It's time to restore our Kingdom."

The trailer introduces us to Zegler's soaring ballad, Waiting on a Wish, and captures the tense moment when Snow White confronts the Evil Queen, disguised as an aged crone, who offers her the cursed poisoned apple.

Disney's Snow White stands as one of the studio's most anticipated releases of the year and serves as a cornerstone of its spring 2025 lineup. Produced by Marc Platt and Jared LeBoff, the creators of Wicked, and directed by Marc Webb, this live-action musical offers a fresh interpretation of Disney's 1937 classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, featuring new songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the talented duo behind The Greatest Showman.

Initially slated for a March 2024 release, Disney postponed the film by a year due to last year's SAG-AFTRA strike.

Ansu Kabia stars as the Huntsman, and Martin Klebba reprises his role as Grumpy in Disney's Snow White, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience.
