Jessie James Decker is poised to sprinkle some holiday magic with her upcoming role in Karen Kingsbury's heartwarming feature, "The Christmas Ring." Joining the already announced stellar cast featuring Kelsey Grammer, Benjamin Hollingsworth, and Jana Kramer, Debbie Winans will also lend her talents to director Tyler Russell's adaptation of Kingsbury's latest novel, "The Christmas Ring," which hits bookstore shelves on October 21.

Set against a backdrop of festive cheer, "Karen Kingsbury's The Christmas Ring" revolves around Vanessa (played by Kramer), a military widow on a quest to locate a cherished family heirloom—a mysterious Christmas ring. Along the way, she falls for a charming antiques dealer (Hollingsworth), whose father (Grammer) uncovers a secret with potential far-reaching consequences.

Decker will portray Leigh, Vanessa's loyal best friend, in this film currently under production. Hailing from Karen Kingsbury Productions, the movie is produced by Natalie Ruffino Wilson.

"The moment I auditioned for the role of 'Leigh,' I knew she was the perfect fit for me," shares Decker. "We share so many similarities. I instantly resonated with her supportive, loving, and enthusiastic nature. She's the kind of girl who speaks her mind and genuinely wishes the best for her friends. Seeing Vanessa find love and happiness brings me immense joy, as I feel the same when those I care about are content. We all deserve love and a fairy-tale ending. Moreover, being a military brat myself, I'm deeply connected to the military storyline, understanding both the lifestyle and the sacrifices it entails. And, of course, Christmas holds a special place in my heart."

Kingsbury adds, "This film is a homage to the timeless Christmas classics of yesteryears, like 'While You Were Sleeping,' 'You’ve Got Mail,' 'Serendipity,' and 'Miracle on 34th Street.' These are movies our family cherishes and watches every holiday season. I aspired to create a film that evokes the same warmth and nostalgia."

An author whose works have sold over 25 million copies, Kingsbury collaborates once again with Russell, who directed last year's adaptation of her novel, "Someone Like You."

Decker, who released her second studio album, "Southern Girl City Lights," in 2017 and has followed it up with two Christmas albums, is also a beauty and lifestyle entrepreneur, fashion designer, and author. She and Kramer, lifelong friends, recently collaborated on the song "Do It In Heels."

With such a talented ensemble and a heartfelt storyline, "Karen Kingsbury's The Christmas Ring" promises to be a holiday delight that will warm the hearts of audiences everywhere.
