In January, Investigation Discovery (ID) will conclude its compelling trilogy, "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace," with a highly anticipated episode titled "The Final Chapter." This installment will pick up immediately after the bombshell revelations in "Natalia Speaks," which premiered in January 2024 and left viewers stunned to learn that Natalia's seemingly blissful new life with Bishop Antwon Mans and his wife Cynthia was all a facade. The dramatic cliffhanger ended with a phone call from Antwon, who claimed that "something ain't right with Natalia" and described her as "tweakin'," adding, "I feel like she’s the enemy of the house. And she said to us we have held her hostage."
At the time, ID President Jason Sarlanis told The Hollywood Reporter, "Our series was already wrapped and locked, but we swiftly sprang into action with our producers to ensure this shocking twist was incorporated into our finale."
The teaser trailer for "The Final Chapter," released on Monday, offers more glimpses of that fateful phone call, including Antwon's chilling statement, "she’s ready to go to hell with gasoline panties on." It also features various sources speaking about the Mans family, with one individual labeling them a "cult."
Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian-born American woman with a rare form of dwarfism, was adopted by the Barnett family in 2010. However, she was abruptly abandoned by them in 2012, when the family alleged she had lied about her age and was actually a legal adult. The first season of ID's series, "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace," aired in 2023, while "Natalia Speaks," released in 2024, provided further insights into Natalia's narrative, as she confronted Michael Barnett and recounted the failed adoption by the Mans family. According to the press release, "The Final Chapter" brings a conclusion to Natalia's tumultuous journey, filled with decades of unexpected twists and turns, as she seeks healing and resolution.
