Wunmi Mosaku, the standout performer from the acclaimed film "Sinners," has joined the ranks of "The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd," an upcoming prison break thriller penned and directed by the talented Tim Blake Nelson. Though details about her character remain tightly under wraps, Mosaku adds a stellar touch to an ensemble led by Amanda Seyfried and Scoot McNairy, with Nelson himself also taking on a role.
Set in the harrowing world of a maximum-security prison, the indie flick depicts a teacher trapped in an abusive marriage who takes a job at the facility, soon falling under the spell of a charismatic inmate. The film explores the devastating repercussions of their affair, raising profound questions about the essence of punishment, retribution, and the very boundaries of our humanity.
Currently lensing in Georgia, the movie boasts an impressive cast that also includes Missi Pyle, William Jackson Harper, Elizabeth Marvel, Grant Harvey, and Devyn Tyler. Julie Buck, Nelson, Ryan Bartecki, Miles David Romney, and Billy Hines serve as producers, while Christopher Hines, Gary Levinsohn, Molly C. Quinn, Matthew M. Welty, and Elan Gale executive produce.
