Kayla Vesia checks in amidst an unimaginable loss. After sharing the devastating news with her husband, Alex Vesia, on November 7th that their precious baby girl, Sterling Sol Vesia, had passed away, Kayla opens up for the first time about their grieving journey.

"Honestly, I don't have much to say," Kayla, 29, begins in a heartfelt January 2nd TikTok video. "Alex and I are trying to navigate each day, and every day feels so different for us. I simply don't have the words."

The Los Angeles Dodgers player and influencer shared the news of their baby's October 26th passing in a joint Instagram post, noting the "pain" of losing their daughter. Looking back on this heartbreaking experience, Kayla shares that she's still in disbelief.

"I was prepared for whatever was going to happen," she shares later in the video, her voice trembling with tears. "But I wasn't prepared for not taking my baby home."

Despite the tragedy, Kayla is grateful for the overwhelming support she and her husband have received, including from Alex's teammates.

"It felt right to come and say 'thank you'," she continues. "I am truly grateful for the community of you guys and your expressions of support and love towards us. It has brought us a lot of comfort during this difficult time."

The TikTok star also addresses what her online content will look like moving forward, hoping it will help other families navigate similar situations.

"[I don't know] what this content is going to look like going forward, but I do want to share my journey," Kayla says through tears. "I don't know how much I'll share or the details, but I do know I want to share if it can help someone who's going through the same thing feel like they're not alone."

Though Kayla, who wed the MLB athlete in January 2025, gets teary-eyed during this heartfelt message to her supporters, she emphasizes her hope to use her platform as a safe space to process her emotional pain.

"I don't want to come on the internet and cry," she continues. "I don't think that's fun for anyone. So, I think it will be a good outlet to talk and share, different from me and Alex talking and talking with our therapist. It's just a different outlet."

While Kayla doesn't know what the future holds, she's looking forward to getting back into content creation.

"I'm wishing everyone a happy new year," she adds. "I don't know what this year is going to bring. I'll slowly be getting back on here. Love you guys, and that's about it for now."
