Published: Jan 06 2026

The marketing campaign for Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Doomsday" has sparked a fresh wave of discussions, with reports hinting at the status of the film's teaser rollout. Speculation is swirling around whether there will be additional footage, and a new update addresses whether the upcoming fourth teaser will be the last one or if rumors of a fifth teaser featuring Doctor Doom are indeed true.

Don't expect a full "Avengers: Doomsday" trailer until next month. There have been rumors circulating that a fifth teaser focused on Doctor Doom or perhaps the ensemble cast of "Doomsday" could be coming to the screenings of "Avatar: Fire and Ash" after the fourth teaser. However, these rumors have seemingly been debunked by the latest scoop from scooper @MyTimeToShineHello, who states: "I hear only 4 teasers were sent to theaters for 'Doomsday,' so despite the listing, don't expect a 5th and 6th trailers. We'll see though."

Marvel has already released three teaser trailers in cinemas. The first one shows Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, riding a motorcycle to a house, staring at his Captain America suit, and holding a baby. The studio initially attached this teaser to "Avatar: Fire and Ash" screenings and later posted it on social media. The second teaser features Chris Hemsworth as Thor praying to Odin and preparing for battle while spending time with his adoptive daughter, Love. Marvel also ran this teaser before "Avatar 3," then shared it online. The third teaser highlights the return of the X-Men, including Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and James Marsden as Cyclops.

According to reports, Marvel plans to release a fourth teaser next. And rumors suggest that it'll focus on Namor, the Wakandans, and the Fantastic Four. Beyond this, fans shouldn't expect a short teaser. Instead, they can look forward to Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026. "TrailerTrack" stated, "There's no question whatsoever from what we're hearing at this point that the 'Avengers: Doomsday' full trailer will debut during the Super Bowl. It will be a MASSIVE event."

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo return to the MCU for the first time since "Avengers: Endgame." The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., and others. It also features cast members from the "Fantastic Four" and "X-Men" franchises. "Doomsday" will hit theaters on December 18.
