Ben Affleck has lavished praise on his ex-partner Jennifer Lopez for her stellar work in a new film he produced. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where he, along with Cillian Murphy and Matt Damon, was discussing their separate project titled "Small Things Like These," the 52-year-old Affleck was asked about the upcoming wrestling biopic "Unstoppable," starring the 55-year-old Lopez.

"Jennifer is absolutely spectacular," Affleck exclaimed about Lopez's performance in "Unstoppable." He drew parallels between "Small Things Like These" and "Unstoppable," both of which he and Damon produced through their production company, Artists Equity. "While 'Unstoppable' is vastly different from 'Small Things Like These,' it similarly stems from the fervent passion of incredibly talented artists," Affleck elaborated. "Director Billy Goldenberg, Jennifer, Don Cheadle, Jharrel [Jerome], and Bobby Cannavale—all of them were deeply passionate about this film. Everyone involved got to know the film's subject, Anthony Robles, and his mother Judy, whom Lopez portrays with immense authenticity."

"I guess we're drawn to stories where the people involved are emotionally intertwined with the narrative," Affleck continued. "We truly believe in the magic of storytelling when it stems from such deep emotional connections."

"Unstoppable" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, just weeks after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20. Lopez and Damon were in Toronto to promote the film, while Affleck stayed in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, "Small Things Like These," adapted from Claire Keegan's 2022 novel, stars and is produced by Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy, 48.

"Unstoppable" chronicles the inspiring tale of Anthony Robles, a 36-year-old wrestler born with one leg who secured an NCAA individual national championship in 2011. The movie, adapted by screenwriters Eric Champnella, Alex Harris, and John Hindman from Robles' 2012 memoir "Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion," showcases his incredible journey.

"We're incredibly proud of 'Unstoppable,' and I feel that our success so far—even though 'Small Things Like These' hasn't premiered yet—is a testament to believing in the right people," Affleck shared with ET. "The beauty of 'Small Things Like These' has already made it a monumental success for us. 'Unstoppable' is another example of that belief."

"Unstoppable" will hit theaters on December 6, while "Small Things Like These" will release on November 8.
