The musical world has been dealt a devastating blow. Camryn Magness, a singer who once graced the stage alongside One Direction on their Up All Night Tour and returned a year later for their Take Me Home tour, has passed away at the age of 26. Her loved ones confirmed the heartbreaking news in an emotional tribute, sharing on her Facebook account, "Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Camryn, a radiant force whose voice, coyness, and bright spirit touched so many."
"Whether beneath the waves or on stage, she met life with fearless energy and boundless kindness," the tribute continued. "In the quiet between waves, her memory will surface—bright, bold, unforgotten. Rest in endless blue, our sweet girl. You are deeply loved and forever cherished."

While the specifics of Camryn's passing were not shared, multiple outlets reported that she was struck while riding an electric scooter on December 5th. "Please keep her family and friends in prayer as they navigate this difficult time," the statement added. "Camryn will live on in our hearts forever."
An online obituary for Camryn, described as vibrant, fearless, and deeply loved, also spoke to the musical legacy she is leaving behind. "A gifted performer, Camryn's voice and music were extensions of her soul," it read. "Whether she was on a stage, at a family gathering, or sharing a song with someone who needed it, Camryn's music was a reflection of her heart, her courage, and her endless creativity."
The obituary also spoke about her love for her fiancé Christian Name, adding, "Together they were building dreams for a future filled with joy, partnership, and possibility; not only for themselves but most importantly for their fiercely loved dogs Brooklyn and Zeppelin."
Camryn's musical journey began when she was just 8 years old, recording a demo and sending it to her future manager Jeff Pringle. But it was her YouTube channel created in 2010 that truly launched her career. Within two years, she was asked to join One Direction's Up All Night Tour and returned a year later for their Take Me Home tour. Throughout her career, Camryn also toured with Cody Simpson and Fifth Harmony.
Camryn previously spoke about the positive reactions she received from fans of One Direction as a music newcomer. "Going into the tour, I was an unknown artist," she recalled to Teen Vogue in 2012. "It's a great feeling to be walking around and someone coming up to me and saying, 'Hey, you did so well!' It was really exciting for me when that happened for the first time." As she told CBS News later that same year, "At the end of it all, it went amazing." After all, she was born to sing. "I've been singing ever since I can remember," she added. "But it wasn't until I was about seven when I entered my first talent show. Just singing in front of everybody, it was terrifying, but I knew it was something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life."
