On Sunday, Christian Pulisic, the captain of the U.S. Men's National Team, addressed the rampant rumors that he and actress Sydney Sweeney were dating, taking to his Instagram Stories to put an end to the speculations.
"Please stop with the made-up stories about my personal life," the soccer star implored, under a post that falsely claimed he was dating the Anyone But You actress. "It's time to hold sources accountable for the impact their words can have on people's lives."
Beneath another post perpetuating the falsehood that the 27-year-old soccer star was dating Sydney, Christian firmly wrote, "Fake news guys, let's put an end to these silly rumors once and for all."
For those who might not be aware, Christian is actually in a relationship with his fellow athlete, Alexa Melton. Meanwhile, Sydney is deeply in love with Scooter Braun, as an insider close to the couple told People magazine in early December.
"Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great," the insider revealed. "They're in a committed relationship and things are serious," the tipster added.
The Housemaid actress was first spotted with Scooter in Venice in June, when the two were there for the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. The couple officially confirmed their romance last month when they were seen sharing a sweet kiss in New York City's Central Park.
