Scott Hoying is stepping into a brand-new chapter with a spring in his step. During the Oct. 14 episode of "Dancing With the Stars," the Pentatonix vocalist and his husband, Mark Manio Hoying, unveiled the joyous news that they are on the cusp of welcoming their first baby together.

"We've got one more bit of news to share with you: We're having a baby," Mark beamed to Scott's dance partner, Rylee Arnold, in a pre-performance video montage. "Our surrogate is pregnant!" Scott, brimming with excitement, chimed in, "We're going to be dads!"

The couple, who exchanged vows in 2023, underscored their sheer elation at the prospect of expanding their family. "We've been dreaming of this moment our entire lives," Mark gushed. "Scott is going to be the absolute best dad in the whole wide world." Scott, while acknowledging that it's "a bit surreal to say out loud" that he's about to become a father, added, "I'm just over the moon to start a family with him. I truly feel like we're incredibly, incredibly fortunate."

And it's precisely that sense of profound gratitude that spurred the a cappella maestro to pay homage to his husband during this week's Dedication Night. He took to the dance floor with a foxtrot to his own composition, "Parallel," a song he penned about the magical evening he fell head over heels for Mark.

"I'm just so deeply in love with him, and I've been yearning for us to reach this milestone," Scott confessed during the episode. "I felt like I was always dating the wrong guys. But when I met Mark, it was like I could finally breathe a sigh of relief. I could just be myself." He continued, "What happens is, your self-esteem begins to mend, and that healing permeates every facet of your life. He's just so incredibly special."

And Mark was equally effusive about the profound significance of Scott's tribute. "For him to dedicate this performance to a song he wrote about our love," Mark said, his voice brimming with emotion, "I'll cherish this moment for the rest of my days."

During the "Dancing With the Stars" episode, the soon-to-be dads also took to social media to herald their new phase of life. Accompanying a slow-motion video of Scott and Mark reacting with stunned amazement to an off-camera moment, the pair wrote, "The moment we discovered we're going to be dads." They captioned the Instagram post with a simple yet profound declaration: "We're having a baby."
