Glen Powell Says a Fan Ate Photos of His Face for 80 Days Straight

Glen Powell couldn't have been happier to be a running man at this particular moment. The star of "The Running Man" recently revealed a bizarre encounter with a fan who was trying to gain his attention in an unusual way.

"There's a woman in London who has been printing out pictures of my face for the last 80 days and has been eating my face every day," Glen told The Hollywood Reporter during an interview with Harrison Ford, Riz Ahmed, Owen Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Zach Braff, which was published on May 20. "Literally, she'll eat my face until I give her a role in a movie."

You can imagine the star's shock when he heard about this situation. "I didn't know this was a thing until it was described to me while I was on the red carpet," he explained. "They're like, 'Hey, the girl that eats your face is on the red carpet.' I go, 'What are you talking about?' I was like, 'Guys, come on, this is a real liability.'"

But that's not the only zany fan encounter Glen has endured. The actor from "Twisters" also revealed another bizarre incident where someone asked him to sign a photo that just so happened to be one of Glen's family pictures "that there's no way they would have access to."

He added, "So, I'm sitting there like, 'Where did you get that?'" As for whether the fan scored signatures from the rest of the Powell family, the 37-year-old quipped, "I was the closer."

But Glen isn't always on the receiving end of awkward fan encounters. Recently, he actually shared his own experience of having to turn down a selfie with a "canceled" celebrity.

"I showed up to the party and there was somebody that had been on the ropes in terms of getting canceled," Glen shared on the Sept. 25 episode of Jake Shane's "Therapuss" podcast. "It was one of those Hollywood parties where there's like cameras and press and all that stuff."

"This person had made some of my favorite movies and I was like, 'Oh, this is great,'" he continued. "He came up and he said, 'Nice to meet you.' I was like, 'Oh, dude. Such a big fan.'"

While chatting with the star—whose name he did not reveal—a photographer had asked if they could take a picture together. And Glen couldn't let that happen.

"This person was recently canceled and it wasn't good," Glen explained. "I was a fan of their work but not a fan of their choices."

"So, I was kind of just being nice," he added. "But then, when they wanted to take a picture with you, I realized very quickly—I was like, 'Oh, I don't know if this is a good idea.'"
