Kyle Cooke is seeking clarity amidst the tumult caused by Amanda Batula and West Wilson's whirlwind romance that rocked the Summer House universe. Bravo's new series, In The City, picked up where their March revelation left off, as Kyle confronted Amanda during the season's premiere.
"I want to be there for you," he told his estranged wife during the May 19 episode, "but I also want to clear the air, because looking back at the summer, it seemed like you were done with me." Amanda, however, disagreed with his assessment.

"That's what's so frustrating," she said, growing emotional. "I gave our relationship everything I had because I wanted it to work so badly. The idea of not existing with you in my life was impossible for me to wrap my head around, which made it hard for me to call it quits. That's why it got so f--king messy, because I was so afraid that once we ended things, we would just be out of each other's lives forever—and I couldn't handle that."
Kyle reiterated that there were moments when he felt like Amanda was "fully out the door," to which she admitted she was "done, to an extent," but that she had still been trying to "give it everything" she could. As for West's involvement, Kyle wondered aloud whether Amanda and the 31-year-old had engaged in an emotional affair through late last year. After Amanda emphasized that "nothing was happening," Kyle noted, "But I hear things."
Amanda denied the suggestion, emphasizing again her commitment to Kyle before their January breakup. "For you to even question my faithfulness in any capacity," the 34-year-old replied, "is really f--king hurts, because that's not the type of person I am. Like I would step out on you or cheat—like I've been cheated on by you."
While Kyle notes he doesn't think Amanda is a "bad person," he added that he felt like her behavior was "reckless and thoughtless," but that "in all of this, I'm still trying to be a good friend to you." And indeed, when Amanda first entered his apartment, he remarked on her thinner appearance, saying, "I'm worried about you," to which she replied, "I'm worried about me, too."
At the end of their conversation, when Kyle again expressed concern over her mental health, Amanda replied, "I mean it's not your responsibility but I appreciate that."
The premiere of In The City came the same day the trailer for the Summer House reunion—which was filmed later in April—dropped. As for how Ciara Miller feels about Amanda and West's relationship, she didn't hold back in confronting Amanda in the explosive clip.
"I couldn't fathom that I would be sitting here pissed that you're f--king my ex," Ciara told her former friend. "He wants to embarrass me. He wants to get his last little words in. And I hope it works, because he's with you to spite me."
