Gwyneth Paltrow tackles a scorching question head-on, pondering how she would categorize her former screen partners Jude Law, Robert Downey Jr., and her latest costar, Timothée Chalamet, in a racy game of "fuck, marry, kill." On a July 22 Q&A episode of her Goop podcast, the 52-year-old actress exclaimed, "This is utterly impossible! How can I possibly choose between Jude Law, Timothée Chalamet, and Robert Downey Jr. in an MFK scenario?"
Despite acknowledging the game's high stakes, Gwyneth proceeds to dive in. "Alright, I'd marry Robert because we'd laugh incessantly, leading an eclectic, joyous life filled with travel," she muses, referring to her Marvel universe spouse. "I'm virtually already married to him on-screen, so what's the harm?"
The decision becomes more challenging when it comes to her costars from The Talented Mr. Ripley and Marty Supreme. "Who do I pick to, um, indulge with?" Gwyneth ponders. "Jude or Timothée Chalamet? That's a real dilemma. I suppose I'd go with Jude solely because sleeping with Timothée feels like robbing the cradle."
Gwyneth, who shares Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, with her ex-partner Chris Martin, will soon play the romantic interest of 29-year-old Timothée in an upcoming sports film. She admits, "In reality, my kids would probably kill me if I did that."
However, the Oscar winner struggles to commit to a definitive answer. "I can't decide," she ultimately concludes. "I'll marry all three. I'll marry and indulge with all three. I'm a modern woman; I'm not eliminating anyone."
Gwyneth isn't the only celebrity to face the fiery social game. Taylor Swift fans unearthed a tamer version of the game, 'marry, kiss, or kill,' featuring Travis Kelce from 2016, where he had to choose between Taylor, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande. Similarly, the Kansas City Chiefs player found it tough to pick someone to eliminate. "That's brutal; I don't want to eliminate anyone," Travis said in the rediscovered interview clip. "Unfortunately, Ariana, you're out. Taylor Swift gets the kiss, and Katy Perry... Katy Perry, I'd marry."
Taylor later seemingly immortalized this moment in a song from her album The Tortured Poets Department titled "So High School," widely believed to be inspired by Travis. "Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me? It's just a game," she croons. "But truthfully, I'm banking on all three for us."
