As the eldest member of BTS emerged, he was showered with flowers, warmly embraced by his bandmates, and serenaded by a saxophone rendition of their smash hit "Dynamite," marking his official discharge from military service. After an arduous 18-month journey, Jin, the 31-year-old cornerstone of the K-pop sensation, has triumphantly returned from his mandatory military service. He is the first member of the iconic group to fulfill his military duties since enlisting in December 2022.

Big Hit Music, BTS's agency, gracefully informed fans via Weverse that Jin's military service had come to an end. The statement cautioned fans that there were no official events planned and that the discharge day was reserved for military personnel alone, urging them to refrain from visiting the site to prevent any overcrowding-related issues.

Korean media gathered outside, broadcasting live on air and online, capturing the heartwarming scene. Footage from Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), a leading news outlet in Korea, depicted Jin embracing his fellow soldiers as he prepared to bid farewell to the military grounds.

Moments later, via the SBS stream, Jin gracefully stepped out of the military compound, pausing to salute and pose for the eager cameras and spectators. A bouquet of flowers awaited him, and almost immediately, he was enveloped in a warm embrace by his currently serving bandmates. The group's leader, RM, set the tone with a soulful saxophone performance of BTS's chart-topping song "Dynamite."

In October 2022, Jin and his bandmates - RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook - staged a monumental free concert titled "Yet to Come" in Busan, South Korea. The concert, which aimed to support the Korean city's bid for the 2030 World Expo, drew a global army of BTS's devoted fanbase known as ARMY. Shortly after the performance, Big Hit Music, a subsidiary of Hybe Corp., announced that all seven members would proceed with their military service plans, declaring it a "perfect time" and expressing their pride in serving.

Before enlisting, Jin released a solo single titled "The Astronaut." In a heartfelt video released earlier in the year, the singer assured fans to "wait just a bit more" and promised that he would "start working hard soon." BTS is anticipated to reunite as a full-fledged group in 2025, once all seven members have completed their military service.
