For Lady Gaga, love is anything but a mere game. Just one day after sweeping four MTV Video Music Awards during the glittering ceremony on September 7, the "Abracadabra" songstress poured out her most heartfelt homage to her fiancé, Michael Polansky—the man who co-produced her latest album, *Mayhem*.

On September 8, Gaga (born Stefani Germanotta) took to Instagram, her words brimming with emotion: "Dreaming up this album, mapping out every detail, constructing each vision alongside you—endless conversations about what we'd craft and accomplish for our monsters have been a journey beyond my wildest dreams," she wrote. "I cherish how deeply you adore my fans and strive to see them happy." She added, "Your love for them fills my heart with joy because, together, we get to shower them with love every single day—your care for them mirrors my own, ensuring everyone feels seen in this vast world."

Beyond his affection for her little monsters, Gaga lauded Michael—who proposed to her with a blade of grass on April Fool's Day 2024—for his unwavering support of all her endeavors. "I'm eternally grateful for the depth of your love and the fervor with which you champion me," she shared. "You toil relentlessly by my side, from dawn till dusk, immersing yourself in the music, performances, and plans, pouring your blood, sweat, and tears into every step of this year's journey. I am the luckiest girl alive."

"My love for you knows no bounds," Gaga continued. "Having your creative partnership in our art, our business, and our love—it's a love unlike any I've ever known. I know you to be a man of many talents, a true renaissance spirit; your intellect and kind heart are what make you shine. I've witnessed that there's nothing you can't achieve."

Referencing the Artist of the Year VMA she'd clinched the previous night, she concluded, "You are MY artist of the year. And the love of my life. Thank you for turning all our *MAYHEM* dreams into reality. I love you."

Gaga also gave Michael a special shoutout at the VMAs, though she could only stay for the first 15 minutes before rushing off to her *Mayhem* concert in Manhattan. "To my partner in all things, Michael," she declared on stage at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y., "Creating this year with you has been a beautiful, beautiful dream. You've been my steadfast companion every step of the way. I dedicate this to you, too, my love."
