After making an appearance on Love Is Blind, Devonta Anderson discovered a lady who had been in his life all along. During the season 10 reunion episode, which was released on March 11, the reality star revealed that he is now engaged and expecting a baby with his fiancée, who he has been dating for seven months but has not publicly identified.
As for how he met his mystery woman? They actually crossed paths years before his engagement and eventual breakup with Love Is Blind co-star Brittany Wicker. "The girl I'm with now, I've actually known since I was in college," Devonta, 32, told E! News in an exclusive interview. "We've never dated, never talked, anything. It was just kind of like an old flame that took off. It was like a 'hell yeah' moment where we're just like, 'Man, wish we could rewind the clock and go back 5, 6 years.'"
Once their romance took off last year, the loan officer felt like he was with a "best friend," saying their relationship simply "flowed." "It's easy, and that's exactly what I wanted a marriage to feel like," he told E!. "Our lives are so similar, but different at the same time, where it's healthy—you can live your life, I can live my life, we can live them together."
Now they're merging their lives even sooner than expected with a little one on the way. "We were ready to get pregnant, but we didn't think it's gonna happen fast," he added. "Next thing you know, we're like, 'Here we go.'"
Indeed, Devonta feels prepared to start a family with his fiancée. "The thing I'm excited about in fatherhood is honestly just being able to do life with my child," he shared. "It's going to be my first time doing this experience and being able to be a teacher."
Noting both his grandfathers were his "idols" growing up, he explained, "That's how I want to be remembered. I want to be able to do the same for my children. And selfishly, I was like, I want a little D1 baby. So we'll see."
