Mariah Carey has been teased by none other than Zooey Deschanel, who playfully issued a warning for the singer to keep an eye on her Christmas crown. According to E! News, Deschanel quipped, "Listen, I'm just stating the facts here. I have two Christmas movies out and two Christmas records." The 45-year-old actress, who stole hearts as Jovie alongside Will Ferrell in Elf, is currently starring in the festive film Merv. Her band, She & Him, also released A Very She & Him Christmas in 2011 and Christmas Party in 2016. "Does Mariah have two Christmas movies? I'm just wondering," she teased.

As the fans well know, Mariah Carey earned the title of Queen of Christmas thanks to her 1994 hit anthem All I Want for Christmas Is You. The track serves as a centerpiece in the singing legend's Merry Christmas album, alongside classic carols such as Silent Night, O Holy Night, Joy to the World, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), and Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town. The record also features originals like Miss You Most (At Christmas Time) and Jesus Born on This Day.
Despite the playful banter, Deschanel quickly clarified that she had no intentions of usurping the crown. "No, I love Mariah," she said. "She is the Queen of Christmas," and with that, she gracefully concluded the chat.
