"Dear Millie, I have just seen your post and felt compelled to respond, offering some context. Over two decades ago, I co-created and starred in a sketch show called 'Little Britain,' featuring a character named Vicky Pollard, who sported blonde hair and always wore a pink top. Seeing your photo, which mirrored her appearance, I playfully drew a parallel by using one of her iconic catchphrases," Lucas penned.

He further expressed his astonishment at how the media twisted his post into an insult aimed at the 'Stranger Things' star. "I genuinely thought you looked fantastic, and I was horrified when the press claimed I 'slammed' you. Firstly, that's far from my nature. Secondly, I admire your talent immensely. I never would have posted it had I foreseen it upsetting you, and for that, I sincerely apologize. Matt x," Lucas concluded his heartfelt message.

This apology followed Brown's passionate Instagram video on Monday, where she addressed several Daily Mail articles and journalists who had scrutinized her appearance. "It's disturbing to witness adult writers dedicate their time to dissecting my face, my body, my choices. Even more distressing when some of these articles are penned by women," she lambasted.

Lucas's post about Brown was reportedly referenced in a Daily Mail article that portrayed it as a 'swipe' at her. The article featured a repost by Lucas from February 26th, showcasing a picture of Brown with the caption "no but yeah but," a phrase synonymous with 'Little Britain's' Vicky Pollard.

Concluding her post, Brown made it clear she had no intentions of apologizing for growing up. "Disillusioned individuals struggle to accept a girl maturing on her own terms, not theirs. I refuse to apologize for maturing. I won't diminish myself to meet the unrealistic expectations of those who can't fathom a girl transforming into a woman. I will not be ridiculed for my appearance, attire, or presentation," she declared defiantly.
