Meghan Trainor, the "All About That Bass" sensation, has had enough of health-related turmoil. Hence, she embarked on a transformative journey that led her to shed an impressive 60 pounds. "It all began when I was pregnant and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes," the mother of two, Riley, 4, and Barry, 2, shared with Los Angeles' 104.3 MYfm. "I realized that to keep touring and to lift my kids without straining my back, I needed to be at my fittest. I had to educate myself on health and fitness."

Nowadays, at the age of 31, the singer, who has also spoken about her experience with GLP-1 medication alongside her husband Daryl Sabara from "Spy Kids," is admittedly "obsessed" with wellness. She frequently monitors her hormone levels and gut health, all in the pursuit of "feeling good." As she explains, "This job is difficult when you don't feel your best."
However, Meghan was "rattled" by the criticism surrounding her body transformation. "I received a lot of hate for being thinner," she shared. "It's strange—I'm finally so proud of myself and starting to love myself, yet I've never received more hate. I was confused, lost, and heartbroken that I took care of myself but everyone was angry."
The Grammy winner added, "People were asking, 'Why are you thin now? You're the 'All About the Bass' girl.' I was 19 when that song came out, and I've been on a fitness journey since."
So, how does Meghan navigate this negativity? Besides pouring her feelings into her new single "Still Don't Care," she also discusses it with her support system. "My therapist says, 'You give these strangers so much power,'" Meghan shared, recalling a time when she cried in bed over a negative online comment about an outfit she wore. "I hate it when she says that because I was thinking, 'Ew! I don't want to give strangers power. I want to have my own power and not care.'"
