The breakup between Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Tommy Feight is far from bitter. Just a month after the star of "Shahs of Sunset" filed for divorce from her husband of seven years, she revealed her stance on her recent separation from her ex at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on November 15. "I love him," MJ, who shares a 6-year-old son named Shams with Tommy, exclusively told E! News' Erin Lim Rhodes. "We'll always be family, and I think the future is going to be really positive for all of us, Tommy, me, Shams, and everyone."
Fans will soon get a front-row seat to see exactly what led to the demise of the couple's marriage when her new Bravo series "The Valley: Persian Style" premieres in January. As the November 14 first look teased, MJ doesn't shy away from vocalizing her frustrations with her estranged husband. "I just don't feel happy," MJ admitted in the trailer, to which her mother Vida replied, "You cannot teach an old monkey a new trick."
Vida even issued a warning to her son-in-law about the state of his marriage over a tense lunch: "She's not happy," she said, to which a heated Tommy fired back with, "Then she should get divorced." But as MJ told E! at BravoCon, "nothing is off limits" on "The Valley: Persian Style," even her crumbling marriage. "We won't let each other get away with that," the 53-year-old told E!. "We gotta face everything."
Meanwhile, costar Reza Farahan thinks fans will be excited to catch up on their lives after "Shahs of Sunset" went off the air in 2022. "My two girls are adulting, they're both moms," he noted of MJ and Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi. "We're in a new stage of our lives but it's still a lot of the same delicious drama and Persianity; we're just all in the Valley now."
