Rosamund Pike is revisiting a harrowing encounter that shook her nearly two decades ago. During a recent sit-down with Magic Radio, the esteemed actress of 'Gone Girl' fame disclosed a mugging incident that occurred in the streets of London. According to The Independent, this harrowing experience unfolded in 2006.

"I was strolling down a road, engaged in a phone call with my mother, when out of nowhere, I was mugged," she recounted, her voice tinged with a hint of the trauma still lingering. "The mugger yanked the phone from my hand so violently that all my mother could hear on the other end was my piercing scream, a heavy thud, and then silence as the line went dead."

The Independent has reported a recent surge in street crimes involving the snatching of mobile phones in London, with authorities witnessing an alarming 151 percent increase over the past year.
